Catra's nightmare

A/N: Hi everyone! If you follow me, you would know I have a fanfic in the works. Lately, I have not been posting because of school work, so I decided to give you guys a little treat. In my fanfic, Catra and Adora have recurring nightmares. This one is one of them. This nightmare contains the song, "I'll Always Remember You" By Hannah Montana. I highly recommend listening to it while reading it since there are lyrics between the storyline. I hope you guys enjoy it, and let me know what you think of it! Thank you for reading and enjoy!

Catra walked into the familiar pink room and put her bag down. "I can't believe that today is the day..." she sniffled. She looked around, "So this was your room, princess?" she choked up as she finished her sentence. "No... not today," she cleared her throat and walked over to the bed. She sat down and sniffled.

She flashed back to the Heart of Etheria, telling Adora that she loved her and finally kissing her. Finally kissing the girl she loved for years, but only for the blonde to die, saving the world. "You saved the world... like you said you would," she teared up. "You did it, but at what cost? At what cost?" she hugged herself and looked at the window. She sang softly,

"I always knew this day would come

We'd be standing one by one

With our future in our hands

So many dreams so many plans,"

She got up and walked over to the window. She placed her hand on the window.

"Always knew after all these years

There'd be laughter

There'd be tears

But never thought that I'd walk away

With so much but so much joy but so much pain

And it's so hard to say goodbye,"

She balled her hand into fists and backed up to see her reflection on the window. She sang,

"But yesterday's gone, we gotta keep moving on

I'm so thankful for the moments

So glad I got to know ya,"

She remembered the different moments from their childhood. Their promise that they made to each other, the both of them spending time at their hideout spot on the rooftop, the two of them laying in the same bed and not giving a care in the world, and the different new memories that they made when they came back to Etheria. She held back her tears as she sang,

The times that we had

I'll keep like a photograph

And hold you in my heart forever

I'll always remember you"

She walked away and grabbed her bag. She walked into the bathroom and undressed. She sighed as she remembered the last moments that the blonde and her hand before her untimely death. Their embrace, their declaration of love, and their kiss. She sang,  

"Another chapter in the book

Can't go back but you can look

And there we are on every page

Memories I'll always save," 

She remembered one of their first nights on Mara's ship. The both of them couldn't sleep, so they decided to spend the night together in Adora's room. Both of them snuggling close and finally sleeping peacefully next to each other.
