CH. 9 - Girl Talk

Girl Talk

I was looking around the garden when I saw a figure and there she is.

Sister!

When I was gonna come to her, a woman came and hug her.

I've seen her before! She's the one she was with on the day of the festival.

I just watch them from afar, and I saw them laughing together and smiling at each other.

Why do I feel a sudden pain in my heart? I envy her closeness to that woman. Who is she in her sister's life?

"Princess," I looked behind me and saw a maid, "It's time for your classes." I nodded at her and followed her. I glanced back at my sister, and I saw her being carried by that woman, and she's happy.

I haven't talked to her yet.

During my lessons, I keep getting scolded. I don't want to be scolded because Father will know and he'll also scold me. But I don't know what I was learning.

It was already afternoon when my lessons finished, I was walking through the garden near my palace, when I saw a golden-haired girl walking with a single rose and a smile on her face, sister!

I ran up to her and I saw her suddenly jumped and stare at me, I smiled at her, "Hi, sister!"

She kept looking at me "I'm Jennette, you can call me sister! What's your name?" I asked her even though I already heard her name during the festival from the people who saw her with Father. They kept talking about her and I assumed they heard her name from somewhere.

"Sister? I'm Athanasia!" She said and smiled at me.

I smiled at her, "Let's go on a walk!" I invited her and she nodded at me and we walked through the garden and kept talking throughout the walk.

"I really like your eyes, sister." I sincerely said.

"I also like your eyes sister, they're a really pretty shade of green," She said that made me stop and look at her, green?

"Huh? I have the same eyes as yours, sister, jewelled." I said. I don't know why but I got irritated.

"Huh? But I can clearly see it! It's green, sister!" She exclaimed then her head shook from side to side until she found something.

She pulled my hand towards a nearby lake and gestured me to look at the waters.

When I look I got terrified. Why are my eyes green?!

"See! I told you, sister, your eyes are green, but it's a pretty shade of green," She said and also looked at our reflection with a smile.

I can clearly see it, and it made me terrified.

A pair of green eyes and jewel blue eyes, glowing and staring at me.
