Deeks. M

Well

If it hadn't been 12am maybe kensi would have been happy to wake up in her partners arms but it was 12 am and her phone woke them up. Evidently the phone didn't just wake them up it woke up Jennah too and they both heard her crying "I'll get the phone you get the kid" kensi said with the sleep still in her voice. "blye" kensi answered the phone "hey kensi hetty wants the whole team in ops in an hour" Eric said also sounding sleepy " ok we have to get the kid ready and we will be in soon" kensi hung up the phone as deeks brought the crying little girl into the loving room "please get her ready kens please" Deeks said while holding out the little girl "no way partner I need to shower and you need to learn how to take care of her, she has clothes in the bags in the kitchen and diapers in your room" she patted her partner on the chest and went to the shower.

After taking close to an hour just getting Jennah ready deeks had very little time to get himself ready but just managed to change his clothes and leave out the door with Jennah in his arms and kensi at his side

When they arrived at OPS they soon realized that the daycare didn't open until 5am and it was only 1:30am so the two partners climbed the stairs with the little girl curled to deeks' side sound asleep. When they got upstairs and saw the pictures on the screen they both stopped dead in there tracks. Pictures of little girls ages 1-3 were all over the screen "nell what's going on" Deeks asked not looking away from the screen "4 little girls aged 1-3 have been kidnapped in the last 3 hours" nell looked at all the agents now standing in ops "why do we have this case nell they're just little girls" Callen looked at the pictures on the screen "no they're not... All of these girls are children of ncis agents" nell said looking at the little girl in deeks' arms these words seemed to make deeks hold Jennah even tighter "I need to call Michelle" Sam walked out of the room. "This is Gracie Mae Wagner" nell said while pointing at one of the pictures of a little girl with long brown curls "she's 3 and her father is special agent James Wagner kensi deeks you two go talk to special agent Wagner and his wife" Deeks looked at the sleeping girl in his arms "what about Jennah" Deeks looked up at nell then to kensi "we have agents downstairs to watch her and sams daughter when she comes in I promise deeks she's safe" nell said looking at deeks

Kensi and deeks walked down the stairs to find two agents who they both knew were very capable of doing there jobs but deeks still looked hesitant "kens..." Deeks stopped before they reached the bottom and shifted Jennah in his arms "do you really think she's safe" he looked down at Jennah who was now slowly waking up "Deeks she's safer with these agents here than she would be with us out there" kensi said as she pushed the hair away from his face, grabbed Jennah and continued down the stairs to hand Jennah to the two agents at the bottom. After the hand off the two partners walked towards the door with scattered thoughts.
