Just be patient

The day went by so slowly deeks had to fight off sleeps multiple times, Around 5 hetty told the team to go home and get some rest since the day was so slow. Deeks went to the daycare and just stood out side the door staring at the ground, his partner was getting her stuff when she realized his position. Kensi walked over and leaned against the wall in front of him as he lifted his head and looked at her "kens... I'm no dad, hell I've never even had a good dad, I don't know how to raise a kid" he looked into her eyes"i don't know what to do..."
Kensi reached for his hands while standing up straight in front of him "Deeks, I know you and if what your afraid of is becoming your dad I think you better do some rethinking because your one of the most caring, loving, and honest men I know, you talk about having kids all the time deeks" she brushed his hair away from his eyes and let go of his hands "I know kens but this is different, I'm alone and she won't have a mom after Hayden... Passes" Deeks shutters at the thought of this sweet women he had been in a relationship with dying "I'm always here you know just a phone call away" kensi smiled at him "let's get the kid partner I need a ride home" kensi said as she pushed pin number in and the door slid open

After dropping kensi off at her apartment deeks looked in the rear view mirror at the little girl who was sitting in the car seat he had found on his porch that morning with a note that only had haydens name on it. Deeks turned to the little girl "hey kid are you hungry?" jennahs eyes widened at the thought of food and she smiled with just the answer of shaking her head up and down. So deeks drove the little girl to kensi's favorite cafe that had now become his favorite and they were seated at a table with a high chair. After ordering there food deeks watched his daughter color the little pictures on the menu and just thought about what it would be like to raise this kid and if he could actually do it alone
After eating deeks had now pretty much assured himself that he really could do this. Just as he put Jennah into her car seat she started screaming and crying, after failing at calming her down deeks decided to drive home and hope that would calm her down. After 5 minutes of driving her crys only got louder and deeks was sure his ear drums had burst. They arrived at his apartment, he pulled the screaming girl from her car seat and tried to bounce her on his hip as Kensi had done the night before that had worked so well but nothing was working. Just as He was walking up the stairs to his apartment he smelt a stench that was unmistakable... The child's diaper. He hurried into his apartment but suddenly realized that he had no diapers, wipes or clothes to change the little girl into. He set Jennah on the couch in front of the TV in hopes maybe she would calm down slightly, he picked up his phone and sent his parter a quick text
"need help asap
No diapers
No clothes
No wipes
Pick some up?"
After putting his phone down deeks went back to trying to calm the young girl in hopes his partner would bring rescue soon.
"be patient" he whispered to himself.
