Chapter 10: Let's Take This Slow

Chapter 10

Once Jason woke up, he realised that him and Gwen fell asleep on the sofa, her head was resting on his shoulder, he smiled and got up for the day.

He was the only one awake at the moment, the sun was still rising, Jason decided to go make himself breakfast. In the kitchen he got out Violets business card that she gave him, according to the card Violet would be at her place of work at this time.

Jason "Well I got nothing better to do"

After eating his breakfast he decided to make his way towards the address.

Violets office was very eccentric, on the walls were photos that Violet had taken detailing the different services she was offering. As Jason made his way towards the back he saw Violet at work taking pictures of a couple.

Violet "Ok now! I want you to move a little bit towards me, I need to get the composition right!"

For the next few minutes, Jason merely watched Violet at work, she seemed like she was in a state that couldn't be broken while working.

After taking the pictures she said goodbye to the couple and they left, she turned around and saw Jason staring there who waved at her.

At first Violet was shocked but then she smiled at him.

Violet "Oh hi there Jason! How are you?"

Jason "I'm good, sorry if I didn't let you know I was standing there."

Violet "Oh no its fine! I'm glad someone appreciates my work!"

Jason "Yeah, your photography is pretty good"

Violet "Thank you"

Violet then checked her phone for the time.

Violet "Oh, right now is when I usually go get breakfast, hey do you wanna come with me?"

Jason "Uhhh, sure OK"

Violet "Great! Follow me!"

Violet then Jason out of the office and down the street, Jason then saw the cafe that Violet was talking about.

Violet "The cafe being right down the street is very convenient for me, makes mornings hastle free."

Once they got inside Violet placed her and Jason's order, once it was done they both sat down and started talking.

Jason "So how did you get into photography anyways?"

Violet "Ah, well when I was 12 my dad bought me my 1st camera, I found it so much fun to use and when my Dad told me that I could make a career out of it, I got mega excited!"

Jason "Cool"

Violet "So where do you work?"

Jason "Oh... I work for The Insergents"

Violet "Oh wow! That must be really cool!"

Jason "Yeah it is kinda, probably not as dangerous as photography though"

Violet "Heh, your funny"

Even after finishing their meals the two teens continued talking, after an hour Violet realised she needed to get back to work.

Violet "Shoot I gotta go, hey how about we go out somewhere tonight? Nothing fancy"

Jason "Are... Are you asking me out?"

Violet "What? Oh no no no, this is just us hanging out as friends"

Jason "Ah, thank god"

Violet and Jason then exchanged phone numbers.
