'W-why did he suddenly ask that?'
I immediately wondered. I've never seen him look so concerned before.
I flinched at the thought.
"Ahahahaha!" I let out a fake laugh, hoping to lighten the mood.
"Don't worry about me, Hinata. It's not that bad." I assured him with a wave of hand.
Worst part is, Hinata didn't seem convinced at all.
"Yachi-san, we haven't known each other for that long, but you can tell me anything,"
I noticed how it wasn't like his usual self, bubbly and lively.
Maybe, I just needed a friend in this situation.
Would it really be okay if I told him?
A hand gripped on my shoulder.
Hinata smiled in a comforting manner.
I sighed out of defeat and responded.
"S-someone... beat m-me up." I held in a tear. I don't want to look weak right now.
"Be more specific...who?" Hinata continued on.
"I'm s-sorry... but I don't think I-I can tell you..."
I was hoping he wouldn't be upset.
"It's like I'm admitting defeat i-if I say who it is. Shouldn't I be the one to deal t-this with by myself?"
I questioned Hinata. I don't know where I gained enough confidence to say that to him.
"...Yachi, aren't you already admitting defeat by trying to hide everything that happened? C'mon, the culprit shouldn't be the winner."
Hinata reasonably said, smiling at you.
"You don't need to tell me anything else, Yachi. I want to make sure you're comfortable with sharing this, I can already tell it's really hard for you to open up. You're a smart girl, I'm sure you have everything under control, a solution will come to you in due time."
