"What the fvck?!" I shouted

"Anak na miss kita..."

"I am not your daughter. Out of my sight now!"

He smiled a little and I feel disgusted. Matalim ko siyang tiningnan. Dahil sa lalaking ito... he can ruin everything in his touch better not to be associated with him. Siya ang dahilan ng lahat! Fvck him!

"Daenah!" tumatakbong lumapit si Dash sa akin

Nang makalapit ay dinala niya ako sa kanyang likuran, protecting me from this monster. Hindi ko na nakita si Vicente dahil sa nakaharang na atawan ni Dash. All I saw is how Dash's shoulder stiffened.

"Anong kailangan mo, sir?" matigas nitong wika

"Namiss ko lang ang anak ko" I heard from Vicente

"Hindi mo po ba alam na maaring ikapapahamak niya ang pagpapakita mo ngayon?"

No answer from Vicente. Dash's hold in my hand grew tight. Kumunot ang noo ko doon.

"She have threats in her life now, sir. I suggest for you to walk away and never appear in front her again, sir. Kahit na ama ka po n'ya I can't risk her safety. Please lang po, 'wag ka nang magpakita kay Daenah. I won't be able to handle everything kung may magyayaring masama sa kanya"

"Dash? W-what do you mean?" naguguluhang tanong ko kay Dash

Like he didn't hear what I asked nanatiling kaharap ko ang natatagis nitong mga bagang. Hinaplos ko ang kamay nitong nakahawak sa aking kamay.

 

"I care for her safety too. Please take good care of my daughter... Please..."

"No need to ask me that, sir. I will do it with all my heart. I love your daughter. I will love and protect her 'til my last breathe. I will give her the love that you failed to give"

Nanginginig ang aking kamay sa narinig ko kay Dash. I can't help to ask God what good things I did to deserve this man despite the cruelty I showed him from the past.

"Dash..." pati ang boses ko ay nanginginig na din

Hindi pa rin ito humarap sa akin. Gamit ang libreng kamay ko na hindi niya hawak, niyakap ko siya mula sa kanyang likod. I tightened my hug when he held my hand that wrapped on his body. Moments later, hinarap niya ako.

"Are you okay? Sinaktan ka ba niya?" puno ng pag-alala nitong tanong

I reached for his face. Pinagdikit ko ang noo namin habang nakapikit bago ako umiling bilag sagot sa tanong nito.

"Let's go home?" I whispered

"Okay"

I held on his waist while we leave the place. Binaybay namin ang daan patungong sasakyan nito na nakaparada sa dulong bahagi ng parking lot. Pinagbuksan niya ako ng pintuan nang makarating kami sa sasakyan nito.

"Sorry I was late earlier"

"It's fine Dash. I was just shock that he's in front of me the moment I open the door. I was expecting you not him"

"I was paying my bill when I saw your friend went out first. Natagalan ang waiter sa pagbalik ng card ko kaya natagalan ako kaunti. I'm sorry. Dapat nandoon na ako sa labas seconds after your friend went out." He sighed

"It's fine. It's fine, Dash. You have no handle of some unexpected moments, okay?"

Hindi na ito sumagot. Nilingon ko si Dash. He looks like he's in deep thinking. Hindi ko nalang siya inistorbo hanggang sa makarating kami sa condo nito.

I was taking my shoes off when Dash spoke.

"I saw his concern for you Daenah. His eyes tells me that he wants to protect you but he can't"

"Let's not talk about this, Dash" itinuloy ko ang paghubad ng aking sapatos. Pagkatapos ay dumeritso na ako sa loob ng banyo

"He's not concern. He's just guilty for everything he had done and now he wants to make things right but it's too late" I said in the middle of my shower

There's no redemption for Vicente. The mad works and things he did are inhumane. He's too late for the string of 'Save'.

Naabutan ko si Dash na may katawagan sa phone nang lumabas ako sa banyo. Lumingon siya sa akin at ibinaba ang phone.

"Please don't go out alone from this time and forward, Daenah"

"Why?"

"It's chaos out there. Someone saw your father-"

"He is not my father, Dash. How many times do I have to tell everyone that he's not my fvcking father?!"

"Baby..."

"Don't!" I raised my index finger to stop him "Don't talk to me if we're talking about that monster!"

"This is for your safety, Daenah. I can't lose you"

"You won't lose me, Dash if you stop talking about him" tinalikuran ko siya at tinungo ang vanity mirror

Kinuha ko ang suklay na nandoon. I combed my hair and I heard Dash's couple of sighs.

 

"You don't know the feeling of how worried am I every morning to receive threats of your life, Daenah. Every damn day!" natigil ako sa pagsusklay ng aking buhok

Tiningnan ko si Dash na nakaupo sa gilid ng kama. Sapo ang mukha gamit ang dalawang kamay.

Like he knew I was looking at him, nagtaas ito ng tingin. There's tears on his eyes while looking at me.

 

"I hide it so you won't worry about it. Please, baby..."

I don't know what to say. My tears were running down at my cheeks as I look at Dash-so weak. Weak because of me.
