Blind (tokoyami x reader)

Part 7. The sports festival

Very long chapter here...

The day of the sports festival was upon us...
Everyone was getting ready and stretching together...
I sat next to tokoyami wondering because I had a vague memory of what a crow looked like...
Then iida entered the room...
"Everyone are you ready?! We will be entering soon"
Then todoroki got up and declared war on midoriya...

Everyone leaves to the field and tokoyami holds my hand to guide me through the people...
I blushed a bit even though he has done it before...
I sense the air and the air around his head is heated slightly...
We stop and he continues to hold my hand...
Everyone gasps...
I look up worried...
"What what is it"
"It's nothing everyone is just surprised that the R-rated hero midnight is here"
"Oh ok" I go back to looking at the ground.
Bakugo is called out to do the pledge...
And he says...
"I'll pledge that I'll be number one"
Everyone except for class 1-a was boo-ing at him...
I started laughing...
Everyone looked at me...
But I didn't sense it...
"I knew he would do that"
"Yea you did" bakugo said as he past me...

"FIRST TEST IS THE OBSTACLE COURSE"

We all lined up at the starting line and I whispered to tokoyami..
"Hey just so you know... I'm going all out so I snatched a ear piece and aizawa said he will tell me when I've passed the finish line so I don't crash"
"Smart I'll see you on the other side then"
"Yea see you there" I said and quickly kissed the side of his beak then blasted my air knocking the people surrounding me over when the whistle went...
I short into the sky and blasted forward leaping through the air...
Getting out just in time for todoroki to freeze everyone...
Machi that was a close one... keep going forward and you should be able to make it on your own...

WOW MACHI FROM CLASS 1-A IS IN THE LEAD
I flinch at the sound of present mics voice causing me to fall...
I land on something metallic...
I freeze up eyes wide open...
WHATS THIS? MACHI HAS FALLEN AND LANDED ON ONE OF OUR FAUX VILLAINS AND SHE SEEMS SCARED
I shake my head and got up...
I sent pillars of rock up and I jump off...
I land on a pillar and keep going...
WOW MACHI IS STILL GOING AND WHATS THIS? SHOTO TODOROKI FROM CLASS 1-A IS COMING U BEHIND HER AT TOP SPEED WITH KATSUKI BAKUGO HANTA SERO AND FUMIKAGE TOKOYAMI COMING UP BEHIND
I smile when I hear tokoyamis name...
.
Machi just keep flying there is a raven underneath you so if you fall it'll be bad

I continued to fly using the air around me easily clearing the gap...
WOW YET AGAIN MACHI CLEARS ANOTHER OBSTACLE WITH EASE IS SHE EVER GOING TO BE STOPPED?

Machi you are now at the next obstacle mines...
I would suggest staying in the air if you don't want to get blown away.

I glide through the air quickly...
But before I can get even half way...
BAKUGO HAS MANAGED TO CATCH UP TO MACHI AND TODOROKI I WONDER WHO WILL BE THE TIE BREAKER
I keep gliding forward when I'm blown off my course by bakugo...
I fall to the ground catching myself with vines...
I get up and look at the ground wondering which way to face...
WHATS THIS? MACHI HAS SLOWED DOWN AND IS INSPECTING THE GROUND... WHAT COULD- wait eraser wha- MACHI THE WAY FOWARD IS TO YOUR LEFT
Aizawas voice shouted into the mic...
I turned that way and ignored the shouts and boos and people saying it's cheating...
Ai-raser head what are you doing? Just because she's in your class doesn't mean you can help her out...
Mic I was given permission from the principal to help her out
Why?
Because-... she's blind...
The words echoed around the stadium...
I paused...
Then stepped on a mine...
I was blasted into the air and I shot myself out with air and passed todoroki and bakugo...
Then midoriya passed me...
IZUKU MIDORIYA IS THE WINNER
I smile and slow down
Good for him
I feel the earth and found where he was standing...
"Great job midoriya what was your tactic?"
"O-oh hey machi yea I blasted my self into the air"
"Haha same"
We joked around for a bit and waited for everyone to finish...

Next was the cavalry battle
Midoriya was declared to have 10000000 points...
I felt tension in the air...
As everyone was teaming up I stood there staring at the ground trying to find my class mates.
Then someone approached me... two people...
"Machi? Would you like to be in our group and since your blind you can be the rider"
"Alright midoriya but don't we need one more person?"
"Hmm oh I know who" he runs off and comes back with tokoyami...
I blush and look at the ground...
Midoriya helps me up onto tokoyamis shoulders and him and uraraka support my upper half...
I feel the air around us since my feet weren't in contact with the ground...
When the match started...
Everyone came fo us...
I grabbed my water bottle out and dragged the water from in it...
I connected the water to uraraka midoriya and tokoyamis feet and lifted them all...
I held my hands up like I was carrying something heavy because I was...
I was carrying my whole team...
We hovered in the sky out of reach...
And stayed there until the match ended...
We landed on the ground and when uraraka floated me down from tokoyamis shoulders...
I stumbled and fell...
"Machi are you alright?" Midoriya asked helping me up...
"Yeah I just... need some time to recover from that..." I say while slowly getting up...
I stumbled when midnights voice echos around the stadium frightening me...
I couldn't hear anything over my ringing ears...
I looked at the ground and closed my eyes in order to calm myself...
Something warm went down the side of my face and the air smelled metallic...
My ears started working again...
"Machi? MACHI? Your bleeding! Can you hear me?"
I nod my head slightly...
"Come wi...the prep roo...re free" I hear tokoyamis voice cutting in and out...
He has one hand on my shoulder and another on my arm guiding me to the prep room...
I noticed I was shaking...
I overused my quirk...
My blood was burning...
I was being boiled from inside out...
It started as feeling warm and sweating...
But when we got to the prep room and I touched my blood...
I took my hand away...
Burnt...
My eyes were wide...
I started gasping for air...
"Machi? Machi!! Are you ok!?"
I gasped and said with a croaky voice...
"Ai-za...wa" I said reaching for my throat but recoiling when my skin burned my hands...
Tokoyami ran out of the room but then my senses became static like...
I became...
Truly blind...
I felt my organs being fried...
My skin was peeling...
I was crying...
My clothes were burning up...
I screamed...
It was painful...
I heard two voices over my own screams...
"MACHI!!!" -T
"WHATS HAPPENING" - A
"SHE JUST TOLD ME TO COME GET YOU"-T
"HURRY SHES IN PAIN"-T
I felt someone's hands wrap around me then recoil...
I screamed knowing I hurt someone...
"AHH"-T
"WHAT"-A
"HER SKIN... ITS ON FIRE"-T
Suddenly I felt the pain die down a bit but I heard a few other voices enter and the pain continued...
I continued screaming and I started scratching my face burning my self and drawing blood...
"ITS NOT WORKING"-A
"TRY HARDER SHES IN PAIN"-T
"WHATS HAPPENING"-midoriya
"IS SHE OK?"-uraraka
Soon I heard the entire class freaking out and tokoyami warning them not to touch me...
Then I felt something cool around me...
I grunted still feeling my skin peeling...
Then I sighed and slumped over...
The cool thing moved away and I felt a cautious hand on my shoulder...
Then I was enveloped with a hug...
I shook in the persons arms...
Sobbing into their shoulder...
They rubbed my bare back...
They calmed me by singing...
I sighed again and hugged them back...
Then people started talking again...
"Is she ok?"-uraraka
"What happened?"-midoriya
"Ojiro get your tail away from my eyes"-mineta
"No she's half naked"-ojiro
"Here"-yaoyorozu
I felt something soft and silky get draped aroundmy shoulders...
The person hugging me tightened their grip and whispered into my ear...
"Don't ever scare me like that again"
...
It was tokoyami...
...
I buried my face into his neck and whispered back, voice skratchy...
"I...I...i...a..m...s...s,....orry.....s...orry....I....I..." I said shivering...
He broke off the hug and pulled the cloth fully over my body...
"Hey...it's ok...just...just don't scare me like that again...ok?"
I nodded tears coming to my eyes...
We hugged again...
"I think we should give them some privacy" jiro whispered to the rest of the class.
"Alright we will send someone to get you once your fights begin" aizawa says in a worried tone...
Tokoyami and I stayed silent...
I briefly heard mineta complaining about tokoyami being with me naked...
Then I heard an explosion...
Minetas scream...
(I laughed at myself while I wrote this)
Tokoyami and I stayed hugging for a while...
Then I broke the hug...
My senses were still sizzled...
So I raised my shaking hand...
Other hand on his arm...
I placed my hand on the side of his face...
I felt feathers...
Feathers wet from tears...
I kept that hand where it was...
I raised my other hand...
I felt the other side of his face...
My eyes staring straight ahead blankly...
I leant forward...
And kissed his beak...
Suddenly when I pulled back...
My eyes...

They worked...

It took a few seconds for my eyes to adjust...

But I saw him...

I saw him...

My eyes widened as I saw his face...
Those...
Those ruby red eyes...
Those glistening black feathers...
The red choker around his neck...
"Machi? Machi?!"
"I... I can... see?"
"Wha... what!"
"I..."
Then I cut myself off...
Everything went dark again...
I felt my eyes unfocused...
I looked in his direction...
"Machi?"
"Machigai"
"Wha??.."
"That's my name... machigai sui"
"Sui!? As in the pro hero?"
"Yes... I'm his daughter..."
"How come you don't look like him though?"
"My looks came from my mothers side and personality from my fathers..."
"And..."
"My mother named me machigai because it's the Japanese word for mistake...I was her biggest regret...she hated having me around...my father would visit once a year...unaware of...never mind"
"Tell me"
"No"
"Why"
"You will worry"
"I'll still worry!"
"You will try to involve yourself"
"What..."
I cut him off and kissed his beak again...
He didn't back away...
Neither did I...
We stayed there sharing a moment...
Then someone else walked in...
"Aw yuck why did I have to come get you guys"
I turned around to see bakugo...
His ash blond hair was spiked up like a bomb...
Didn't surprise me...
I wrapped the silk around me and turned around fully...
"Wow...you look just as I suspected"
"Look... wait what?" He said shocked...
"I have a memory from when I was a small child...there was a villain attack in public...
I was three at the time so I didn't remember this until now...I still had my vision... I was shopping with my father and being the hero he was he put me down and told me to stay put... a witch like person came up to me and muttered something... about love and sleep...everything went dark after that... I looked around but couldn't see anything and I heard the witch curse...I was suddenly picked up and held out...
She yelled to my father that if he didn't leave them alone she would kill me on the spot... then all might arrived and saved the day... I was then on blind and I heard my father interrogating the witch...and she said something about love again..."
Both of the boys looked at me shocked...
"But it's only temporary"I added...
"I-I'll get dressed" I said remembering I was still naked.
I got dressed quickly...
We stepped outside and I admired my surroundings.
"So...this is what it looks like..." I whispered...
"What's it like... being blind..." bakugo asked...
"It's... challenging...my whole life I've relied on me and me only... then when I finally gave in and told you guys... I've started relying on others...all I see is darkness... when my quirks aren't active then it's just...black...nothing else...but when my quirk is active then I can feel the vibrations on the ground and sense the air shift...I get constant headaches because I'm always using my quirk... but I put my all into those first few challenges... so it came with a consequence..."
The boys looked at me processing what I said... then I looked at bakugo then everything went dark again...
I stopped in my tracks and turned my quirk on...
"Are you okay?" Tokoyami asked...
"Yea it just wore off"
"D-do you n-need your vision for the f-fight?"
"No I work better with my senses"
"Oh...ok"
I blush at that last comment but I was pushed into the stadium before i could say goodbye...
