Blind (tokoyami x reader)

PArt 14: the pool

I woke up under my bed.
My eyes were dry from crying all night.
I sighed but froze when i heard footsteps going up the stairs.
I held my breath and memory's came folding back to me.

6 year old me was whimpering under the bed...
I heard heavy footsteps...
There was someone else with smaller footsteps racing ahead...
I heard someone yelling...
My cousin entered the room and dove under the bed and hugged me close...
My mother entered too...
"GET OUT OF THERE BRATS"
"Don't yell at the children, I never treated you like that did I?" Another voice said as they entered...
I hugged my cousin whimpering...
His gloved hands were wrapped around me tightly...
And we both cried...

I realised I was crying again.
Two heavy footsteps made their way up.
"Machi?" I heard a voice.
I covered my mouth whimpering.
"Machi it's ok" I realised it was bakugo.
He lifted my bed up with ease.
He pulled me out and wrapped me in a hug.
He had one hand on the back of my head and one rubbing my back as I cried.
Someone else joined the hug.
I flinched at the touch.
"It's just icy hot it's ok" bakugo said soothingly.
I calmed down after a while.
"The class is going swimming today, do you want to come?" Todoroki asked.
I nodded slightly.
We left the house with both of them holding my hands.
We got to the pool and two people ran up to me.
One tackled me in a hug.
"H-hello toko" I say hugging him back.
"Don't ever scare me like that again, disappearing after a villain encounter jeez"
Then the other one spoke.
"Machi it was rather irresponsible to run off like that after an emergency, everyone thought you got hurt, I was especially worried.. uh because you did not show up for class" iida said, I noticed the air around bakugos hands became dangerously hot and todorokis became cold.
"I love you too iida" I say grabbing Tokoyamis hand and we leave to the pool area.
I smell the chlorine in the water and think.
Shoji walks up next to me and places a hand on my shoulder while toko goes to get changed.
"Are you going to go swimming?" He asked.
"I-I never learned to swim" I told him.
"Oh here I'll show you!" He says happily.
Shoji was a good friend and like a brother to me.
He slowly lead me into the water until I was ankle deep on the steps.
"Do you have togs?" He askes.
"No, I've never been swimming" I answer honestly.
He lets out a low whistle.
"Do you still have your mask on?" I ask him as we move another step deeper.
"Yes I do"
"Do you ever take it off?"
"No"
"Why"
"I scared a friend of mine with the way I looked so I don't take my mask off"
"Oh ok but can I see one day?"
"Yea promise"
We go another step deeper than another until I was waist deep.
"Do you want to go deeper?"
"Yea sure" I reply still unsure.
I hear a splash in the water.
"What's happening?"
"A swimming contest"
"Oh why aren't you participating?"
"Because I want to teach you to swim"
"Aw thanks"
We go shoulder deep and shoji has two hands holding mine and two hands on my waist.
We go deeper and now I can't touch the bottom.
I started thrashing, slightly panicking.
"Hey hey it's ok I've got you"
"You do?"
"Promise now try kicking slowly"
I slow my kicks and start to tred water.
I let out a laugh and shoji let's go and I swim on my own.
He also lets out a laugh.
I start swimming around in circles and ojiro cheers for me from the chairs.
Bakugo jumps in and congratulates me along with Tokoyami whole gave me a peck on the lips.
I look around and see shoji, then I look down and see the water I'm swimming in.
I go under for a split second looking under the water.
I go back up and rub my eyes making myself fall under again.
Tokoyami grabs my waist and pulls me up to the surface.
We all mess around for a bit until shota comes back and shuts the pool party down.
I dry off and shota takes me back to his house.
When I walk through the doors I'm tackled to the ground by shinsou and tamaki in a hug.
The hug me and ask a million questions, then we have noodles for diner and I fall asleep at the dinner table.
Shinsou lifts me up and carry's me upstairs and tamaki sets me down on my bed and shota tucks me in.
I have a peaceful sleep after that.
Mostly peaceful.
