it was the next day and we all got up early and ate some breakfast, we did more training, a few games then it was soon dark. "tonight we will be doing the courage test" shota announced. everyone cheered except tokoyami who was holding my hand.
oi dark shadow whats the courage test? I ask dark shadow telepathically.
oh its where one team of people have to try and scare the others in creative ways.
oop if I didn't have my quirk I would be at a great disadvantage.
yea but you would have an advantage with your quirk too.
hmm your right I better sit this one out. alright ill see if I can still talk to you from a distance.
alright have fun you two. you too, love you! haha love you too. "toko im going to sit this one out love you" I say kissing his cheek and walking in aizawas direction.
I reached him and tapped his shoulder. "hey shota im going to sit this one out if you need me get dark shadow to get me" I say looking blankly ahead. "wait shota?" I heard kirishimas voice. "oop hey guys I meant aizawas" "yea sure machi but be carful ok?" shota said ruffling my hair.
I used my quirk to lift me into the sky and I glided through the air reaching kodas secret hang out.
"hey machi" he said plainly. "hey koda how are you?" I say sitting next to him. "bored" "well im here now" "true...are you not gonna do that game down there?"
"Nah I have an advantage with my quirk"
"fair enough"
we sat in silence for a bit.
Koda was about to talk but I froze up.
"Do you smell that?" I ask him.
He sniffs the air and he also freezes up.
"Oh god I swear if bakugo of todoroki set something on fire" I started but I felt vibrations behind me.
Heavy footsteps.
I turned around and stood up.
"Koda... get behind me now" I told him as he ran behind me, clutching to my leg.
"Nice hat kid, want to trade with the mask?" I heard a deep voice say.
I turned my quirk on 100 percent.
I tried to back away, koda still hanging on for dear life.
But I felt the air shift telling me he blocked my exit.
If I jump off the cliff into the forest then I could lead him to everyone else and others could get hurt.
I also can't let him know I'm blind.
I can't let him get koda.
I grimaced thinking if this guy had a powerful quirk, it would be difficult to deal with him.
"Hey koda sweetheart I need you, as soon as I have him distracted, I want you to run, run and don't look back" I whispered kneeling down.
I cupped his face and pressed my forehead to his connecting our minds.
I felt the air around us shifted just in time to grab koda and dodge the mans fist.
"Oh I remember you" the man told me as I placed koda down.
"You were on the list, the boss said not to hurt you, but I don't really care" he said as he lunged forward again.
I stood in front of koda and took the hit to the stomach making me fly into the sky.
I was out of breath and pretty sure he broke a rib but I didn't care.
Koda was the only one that mattered.
I shot myself down and kicked his face.
It did no damage at all.
I made a sword out of ice and sliced at him.
It hit him a lot.
Slicing through his 'muscle' quirk.
"Haha your a good one aren't you? Well not as good as me, I killed that kids parents along with many others" the man told me.
I froze.
He hit me.
I flew back into the wall.
Breaking at least 2 bones.
I slumped over.
My ears started ringing.
I heard kodas cries in the background.
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I got up, agony shot through my body.
I coughed up a bit of blood.
I heard koda scream.
My eyes widened as flames burst all around me.
I threw my head back and water lashed out of my mouth and hands.
I heard the man scream.
His screams died.
Koda whimpered.
I splayed my foot on the ground and felt where he was.
The water contracted back to my body.
I took an agonising step towards koda.
Then another, and another until I was in front of him.
I stuck out my hand.
He took it.
He held my hand as I limped painfully down the mountain.
"M-Machi?" He said finally.
"Y-es?" I said my voice cracking.
I felt koda wince as I coughed up more blood.
"I see your teacher"
"Go... to h-im"
He let go of my hand and ran off.
I continued to walk.
I heard a scream.
Urarakas scream.
I turn towards it.
I finally come to a clearing.
I could feel someone onto of uraraka on the ground.
I raised my hand blindly.
And I felt heat at my fingertips spread to my hand.
Flames jumped out.
My ears started ringing again.
I walked away into the forest again.
MACHI dark shadows voice echoed in my ears.
I turned to the direction it came from.
There was a clearing.
Lots of crashing.
Then I was knocked back.
Two more of my bones broke as I hit a tree.
I grunted as I stood back up.
I held my hand out in front of me, tears streaming down my cheeks.
I cried out as more fire danced out from my finger tips and I heard dark shadow shriek.
I fell to my knees, feeling my blood starting to boil.
I felt footsteps.
"Ah, here's one of the ones tomura wanted"
I looked up at him.
"Oh yea... He could have... just asked" I said before passing out.
