Blind (tokoyami x reader)

Part 22: Songbird

I couldn't sleep.

I sat up and felt my surroundings.

I felt a piece of metal next to the window.

It was cold, telling me it was night time.

Maybe I can have alone time for once
Good idea, and you can go see fumikage, you yeo have barely talked since... well... me
Hey it's not your fault, but yeah, I think I will go see him

I pulled a hoodie over my head and I found my way out the door.

I turned on my quirk as I headed for UA.

I found myself in the school common room in about 10 minutes and I looked around to try and find Fumikages room, I had never been there before so that was the problem

I found a door and I knocked.

The person who opened it was not who I had in mind.

"Machi? What are you doing here?"  Shoto asked me suspiciously.

"Oh hey Shoto, do you know where Fumikages room is?" I asked him.

"Yeah I do bu-"

"Great can you take me there?"

"I, uh, sure" he closed his door then lead me to Fumis room.

"Thanks Shoto"

"I don't get what you see in him"

"What?"

"He's a bloody bird-goth freak with shadow powers, you must both be blind"

"And what do you mean?"

"What I mean is your a god damn traitor... and he's a bloody bird, what has this shook become, letting in freaks and animals"

I flinched.
Tears came to my eyes.

"Didn't know you were against the mutants" I asked casually.

"That's the attitude, the psychopathic attitude"

Tears flowed down my cheeks.

I heard Fumis door unlock.

His door opened and he saw my crying and Shoto shouting at me.

Fumi wrapped me in a hug and I hugged him back, crying into his shoulder.

"Todoroki I swear if I ever catch you speaking to Machi again I will rip you to shreds" Fumi threatened.

"Bye freak face" he said bitterly.

Fumi brought me into his room.

"What are you doing here?" He asked me.

"I- couldn't sleep" I sniffed.

He sighed.

He pulled me in for a tight hug.

I hugged him back.

My eyes started to droop.

Fumi noticed this.

He brought me over to his bed and we laid down together.

His arms were wrapped around my waist and my arms were wrapped around his neck.

He whispered in my ear.

"Hey... if you need me for anything I'll always be here... don't worry" he whispered as he combed his fingers through my hair.

I smiled and kissed his neck.

Then I fell asleep again.

Happy to be alive.

And with the person I loved.
