Few minutes have passed and all I do is keep on staring at the papers on my desk. I couldn't believe my eyes on what I had read.

Bakit kailangang ito pa ang pinakauna kong project dito sa Casa Soriano? Well, I get it that this is indeed a big project; however, isn't it too risky for my father to give this to an amateur like me?

Gusto ko sanang tumutol pero sa huli ay hindi ko naman na nasabi ang nais ko. Isa pa, I shouldn't make a big deal out of this anyway. This is purely business matters and nothing more.

Si Dylan din naman siguro ang nag-aasikaso ng project na 'yon so there's nothing I should be worried about.

Instead of worrying about this project, mas mabuti sigurong mamili na lamang ako ng mga kakailanganin ko rito sa opisina tulad ng una kong plano. I stood up and put a little bit of powder and retouch my rosy nude Dior lipstick before I left my office. I drove to the nearest mall and in there, I take a look on things I might buy.

Hindi pa man nagtatagal ay may nakita akong pigura ng isang pamilyar na lalake. He was talking to a tall, beautiful and slender woman. Instead of letting my eyes linger on them, I chose to turn around and sprinted away from him.

What the hell!

Anong ginagawa ni Nathan dito?!

Wala ba siyang trabaho? At sino iyong babaeng kasama niya kanina? I am sure that she wasn't that Sanya that I saw from the article.

I told myself that I had already move on, that seeing him again shouldn't be a big deal but why am I acting this way?

No.

This isn't right.

This shouldn't be my reaction.

I should not run away again just like what I did years ago. But... But... I am still not yet ready to face him. I don't know if my heart will be able to accept if he find someone that he wanted to be with forever. Pero tulad nang sinabi ko sa sarili ko dati, handa akong tanggapin iyon lalo pa't alam kong sinaktan lang naman namin ang isa't isa dati.

"I'm sorry," I said as I bumped at someone because of my swiftness.

"I didn't expect for us to meet again."

Napaangat ako ng ulo at doon ko nakita si Dylan kasama ang ngiti na madalas na nakapaskil sa kanyang mukha.

"Uh... Um... Nice to meet you again too," nag-aalinlangan ko ring pagbati.

He chuckled at what I said and mess with the top of my head. "We're friends. You don't have to be nervous around me."

Instead of speaking, I just stared at him. His smile wears off as his eyes show a hint of concern.

"You are still considering me as your friend, do you?"

Sa pagkakataong ito ay binigyan ko siya ng ngiti at tipid na tango. "Syempre naman."

He seemed relieve at my response that he immediately brings back the smile that he is wearing earlier. "Gusto sana kitang ayain na magkape pero... may naghihintay sa akin."

Alam ko naman kung sino kahit hindi niya pa iyon sabihin.

Tinanguan ko na lamang siya sa kanyang sinabi. Magpapaalam na rin sana ako pero may pamilyar na akong tinig na narinig na siyang tinawag ang kanyang nakakabatang kapatid.

My heart hammered as if the race from earlier continues. Pabilis nang pabilis na lamang iyon habang nararamdaman kong papalapit na siya sa amin.

I looked at the man in front of me and bit my lip. I wanted to bid adieu yet I am afraid that Nathan will be able to hear my voice. Good thing Dylan gets my unvoiced message to him and he curtly nodded to me. I walked away from them with my short but fast steps, afraid that he might see me.
