"Good afternoon, Miss Soriano," anito nang nakalapit na siya nang tuluyan. He met my gaze with his straight looking face.

Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na nandito siya sa harapan ko. I never expected that we will meet again in this way after a long years. I wanted to run again but I know that I shouldn't do it. This is a strictly professional meeting kaya bakit parang iba ang nararamdaman ko?

Kung anong mayroon sa amin ay matagal nang natapos iyon kaya hindi ko na dapat iyon isipin pa. No. Scratch that, wala namang kami kaya dapat ay ibaon na lamang ang mga alaalang iyon sa hukay.

We've moved forward with our lives independently and I believe that us meeting again, shouldn't affect the life we have now.

"Shall we take a seat?" sipi niya sa baritonong boses.

"Ah yes..."

He called a waiter for us to order once we sat. And after we ordered our afternoon snacks, there is a long silence that surrounds us.

I feel the awkwardness between us or maybe, it is just me. I don't think that he feels the same way. I took a peak at him and he looks professional even with his simple white dress shirt. Agad kong kinagat ang ibabang labi ko upang iiwas ang tingin ko sa kanya. But these traitor eyes of mine still find their way towards the man in front of me. I am taken aback when I saw him looking at me with his same vehement eyes and arched eyebrow.

"Um shall we begin?" saad ko upang pagtakpan ang pagsulyap kong nahuli niya.

He nodded before extending to me the folders that I instantly accepted. "These are the drafts of the blueprint. Ginawa na ng team namin iyan base sa specifications na gusto ni Mr. Soriano but then wala pang na-approve dahil may hinihintay daw siyang magmamanage ng project na ito and it looks like that it is you.

"Kung may napili ka or may gusto kang ipadagdag o baguhin, just relay your likings to us. We will schedule another meeting together with the architect."

I continue scanning the different drafts while listening to his manly voice. I tried my best to keep my focus on the blueprints that is in my hands.

Halos lahat ng mga designs ay nagustuhan ko. All of them are elegant and pretty that I had a hard time choosing which suits best our hotel.

"You don't have to choose now. Pwede mong dalhin 'yan upang mapag-isipan mo kung anuman ang gusto mong piliin."

Napatango naman ako sa sinabi niya at tiningnan siya. He continued discussing about the project yet my eyes couldn't leave his face. Doon ko lang napansin na mas naging prominente pala ang kanyang jaw. His built became more bulkier but leaner than what he is before. My eyes darted to his reddish lips and there is this force in me that keeps my eyes watching it. Mariin kong pinikit ang aking mga mata at marahang iniling ang aking ulo.

Of course his appearance will change as time goes by. Napakaunfair nga lang dahil mas lalo pa siyang gumwapo. Bagay na bagay nga silang dalawa ni Sanya.

"Are you okay?"

Napatingin ako sa kanya dahil sa tanong niya.

"Medyo masama lang ang pakiramdam ko," I lied just to save face.

Marahan naman siyang tumango. "Then let's end this meeting. Mukhang kailangan mo ng pahinga."

"I guess so," I said while nodding.

"It's nice partnering with you in this project."

"Me too. It's an honor that one of the highest paid engineer of the country is going to construct our new branch," saad ko at hindi naman na siya nagsalitang muli sahalip ay tinitigan niya lamang ako.
