You stand behind me as I lift my head out of the water and tell me that it's going to be okay
As if you weren't the one with your hand on my back,
Pushing me under
But I am weak, and scared, and alone
And even if you drowned me I would stay
Because I can only breathe when your with me.
You hurt me,
Again,
And again.
Yet I'm still the one begging you to stay,
This is self destruction,
This is addiction.
Please,
Wait,
Stay.
I know deep down that if even you can't love me, how will anyone else?
It's sick and cruel
And I crave it.
I long for your hand on my throat because then at least you're touching me.
And if this is love,
If thus is truly affection,
I don't ever want to feel heartbreak.
I only ask you this,
When you end up killing me with your love and rejection,
Say my name as I drown.
Yours truly...
