I plunge my hands into the darkness but I can only grasp the silk that slips from my fingers
And it reminds me of the last time you held my hand
Did you mean it
Were you going to tell me to stop grabbing at empty air or were you going to let me search forever
And as you walk away my hands are cold as corpses and I can't seem to remember what being alive means
You took that away from me
But if you were to come back I would still be here...waiting for somebody to grab my hands and pull me out of the darkness you left me in
Because I am so lonely
For there is only so much company the shadows can keep
