Blood On My Hands

Do you smell the blood on my hands?
As I walk onto their holy ground do they realize I have killed their god?
I will not worship a being who has built a church only to walk away.
So I whisper vengeance into the wind and it calls back to me.
I sing my name to the heavens and it echo's back through the hollow clouds.
I hold the beating heart of the omnipotent,
And I become the ruler,
The god,
Eat the forbidden fruit and rebel.
My children will bleed gold.
I will hold the universe in my gaze.
And when your god comes back,
Begging for mercy,
I will ask only this:
"Who dare ask for something that they never once offered?"
