Does it still hurt when you look at the stars and remember how much you lost,
When you look up to the heavens do you realize how far you fell?
Your eyes betray you when you are asked if it burned while you ripped through the sky.
Now the earth trembles beneath you for it fears your pain.
But a million years ago,
When you were nothing you promised to save the word,
Now you stand among the rubble of what is left.
I cry out to you,
I beg you to answer,
And you stand in the midst of an empty solar system while you hear my screams.
You lose more and more divinity each day,
Falling,
Falling,
Falling,
Until no one remembers you,
Save for the people you disappointed.
