(15) Things Unfold

Two weeks later 

It was their last night in Turks, they were having family dinner. Yvonne looked down at her youngest daughter and her husband.

"So Adrianna James I know you all haven't hit the year mark yet. But any family planning?" Yvonne said 

They both looked up from their plates and swallowed hard. 

"Family planning?" Bucky said 

"You know like when you two are going to start having babies." Winnie said

"Babies..uh. We haven't discussed that yet." Adrianna came in with the save. 

"You need to. You turn have turned 30 this year. You don't want to wait to long." Yvonne said 

"Yeah.." Bucky said as he went back to eating his food. 

James Sr sat down his fork and knife wiped his mouth. 

"Grandson, do you think I'm an idiot?" James Sr said 

Bucky looked up confused. "No, why would you ask me that?" He said 

"Because you two get that same damn deer in headlights look when anyone asks you two questions about your marriage. Your grandmother told me that you two had the same look when she introduced the wedding planner. And don't think you have her grandfather fooled. We have noticed a lot..and heard a lot.." James Sr said 

The whole table fell silent and all eyes turned to Bucky and Dria. 

"What do you mean?" Bucky said 

"I mean you might want to check to see who is watching. I know all about you still seeing that Bishop girl. Your sister and sister in law said they seen you with her at the hospital. Not to mention your cousin here ratted you out about some model you all did work for." James Sr said 

Bucky closed his eyes as he looked down. 

"Oh but you aren't the only guilty party are you. Dria has had her fair share of affairs as well..a hockey player before the wedding. Other dates with lawyers and a NFL player. Oh let's see her Dria who was the last one. Landon Prescott.." Maxwell said 

Dria looked down. 

"Adrianna.." Deacon said 

"The charade is up. You two only act like a married couple when you are around us don't you?" James Sr said 

They stayed silent. 

"You aren't affectionate with her hell the other night I checked in on your room. You were on the couch and she was in the bed alone. Which tells me that at home you two don't share a bed at all either! That's why you fired the maid isn't it?! You were afraid of your lie being exposed!" James Sr said in a raised tone. 

"Not to mention James if you weren't so busy screwing around on her with other women. And you two were actually trying at this. She wouldn't have been raped by Malcolm Prescott." Maxwell said 

Dria looked up and at Savannah. "Sorry Dria..I had to tell someone. I wasn't going to let them get away with it." She said 

"Dria? What is he talking about?" Bucky said 

"Vannah what are you talking about?" Yvonne said 

Savannah played the video she recorded. 

"And here you thought she wasn't a gold digging tramp." James Sr said
