"Ok so I bought a bookshelf and we can color coordinate it to differentiate your books from mine," I said, showing him the bookcase on the internet. Caleb raised his eyebrows."Y-your buying a bookshelf? Well, I could buy it" He said. I shook my head.
"No, it's fine! You are already busy buying a new mattress." I explained. He shook his head.
"It's on its way here," he said.
"Ok, what about the computer?"
"It was a gift," he explained. I sighed.
"Fine... we can split the bill if you really want to" I explained. He nodded.
"Alright besides that. Here is your key... and welcome to your new home!" I chirped, handing him the key. He smiled.
"I think we should celebrate." He said. I widened my eyes.
"Uh celebrate? I mean we could order pizza or-" I was interrupted.
"Well, Laura's throwing a housewarming party at her house-"
"She has a house?!" I asked. He nodded.
"Yeah, it was like a gift from her super-rich parents. and we are invited. So you wanna go?" He asked. I sighed.
"Well. When is it?" I asked.
"Friday after work so..." He said. I sighed.
"Fine. fine. I guess it'll be like a housewarming party for us too!" I said. He smiled.
"Oh one more thing," he mumbled, running into the kitchen. He came back with two glasses of champagne.
"Oh... I don't really drink" I mumbled. He sighed.
"It's just champagne... " He pleaded. I sighed, grabbing the cup.
"Cheers to us and being roommates I guess." He said. I smiled.
"Cheers," I replied.

I walked into the stairwell to see Jaehyun sitting in the corner, furrowing his eyebrows.
"What are you working on?" I asked, sitting down next to him on the stairs. He showed me some brain scans.
"This is an inoperable tumor. Well, a patient at Stanford has it and they flew here for me to remove it. I mean look at the size of this thing" he said. I nodded.
"Yeah, that is a really big tumor," I mumbled. He looked over at me.
"You look different... You straightened your hair" He said. I smiled.
"Yeah. Laura is having a housewarming party on Friday and I wanted to look good." I said. He smiled.
"It looks really good on you." He said. I blushed, running a hand through my hair.
"O-oh... Hey didn't you say that you were going to hang out with Gonzalez Friday night?" I asked him. He nodded.
"Yeah, we are going out." He said. I raised my eyebrows.
"You guys have been going out like every Friday night! You sure his wife and kid are cool with you stealing him away?" I teased. He chuckled.
"Yeah, they're cool with it. And you keep ditching me for some other important stuff so it's not like I have anything better to do." He said, putting quotes around the words 'important stuff.' I scoffed.
"It is important stuff!" I explained.
"Oh yeah. What's so important about it?" He asked.
"Well... I went on a date." I mumbled. I saw him stop walking from the corner of my eye. I stopped, turning to face him.
