"I've been saying it the last two weeks but I am fine. I went through a lot. And I took the necessary time off. And now I'm okay. And ready to go back to work." Camilla claimed. The therapist nodded.
"That's great. You know, Dr. Janssen, most surgeons, get annoyed or irritated in hospital-mandated therapy. You seem to be doing just fine" he explained. Camilla smiled.
"Well, the chief was looking out for me. And I told him that I am fine but I am a resident and have no power so I was forced to come here. So might as well go along with it. Lucky for you, you got the easy patient " She explained.

"Please" She begged, following Gonzalez around the nurse's desk.
"No"
"But Gonz-"
"Camilla for the last time... I can't let you in the OR until you are cleared for surgery" He explained.
"B-but I'm perfectly fine! See? I cleared myself" She complained. He rolled his eyes. Charting while walking at the same time.
"Cleared by a professional therapist, not you." He mumbled. She sighed.
"But I did the mandatory hours of physical therapy. That's therapy enough" She whined. He stopped, shutting the chart, turning to face her.
"Camilla you know the rules."
"It is a gigantic aortic aneurysm! A-and I'm supposed to be the lead resident on it. I am supposed to clip the giant thing." She explained. He shook his head.
"We had a deal. Once the hospital has cleared you for surgery.... Both physically and mentally, then you can scrub in with me. But since it hasn't come to that point, you aren't scrubbing in. I'm sorry but those are the rules." He said. She groaned, crossing her arms.
"Is she still mad about the fact that she can't enter an OR yet?" Caleb asked, walking over to the two. Gonzalez nodded.
"Yep. But I have something to cheer you up." He said. Camilla looked up at him.
"What are you doing for Thanksgiving?" he asked. She chuckled, wrapping an arm around Caleb's shoulders.
"My friend and I have a free coupon for all-you-can-eat sushi and I recently renewed my Netflix account, so Criminal Minds, here we come" She chittered. Caleb chuckled.
"So you guys aren't going home for the holidays? Why?" he asked. Caleb shrugged.
"My siblings are spending thanksgiving with their significant other's. Wouldn't want to be the third wheel" He explained.
"Yeah and the last time my entire family was in a room together was my dad's funeral" She explained. He raised an eyebrow.
"Well, that was dark...Why don't you come over to our house. This year we aren't going to visit Nicky's grandparents so we decided to just have our own thanksgiving but go for Christmas. And it would be your first holiday with us!" He exclaimed. Camilla smiled.
"Y-you... Are you sure you are ok with that?" She asked. He nodded.
"You're family now. I have to go but definitely think about it" He said, walking away. She smiled, turning to Caleb.
"Well more sushi for me." He said. She shook her head.
"Wh- did you not hear him?" She asked.
"Oh, I heard him. And that man treats you like his child. He adores you." He mumbled. She scoffed.
