Camilla practically skipped towards the hospital, the cold winter breeze hitting her face. She walked into the elevator, taking a deep breath, before pushing the button.

"Janssen... Is that a smile?" She heard a voice from behind her in the elevator. She turned to see Dr. Williams standing with a smug look.

"Um... just happy to be here, Doctor," She mumbled. He raised an eyebrow, before walking out of the elevator.

"Residents" He sighed, shaking his head.

"It's a new year. Lots of things to be happy about" She said. He scoffed.

"Not even field trip day will bring you down?" He asked. Camilla shook her head.

"Not even field trip day" She mumbled.

"Please leave before I catch whatever you're carrying," He said. Camilla turned the corner, being too excited to pay attention to where she was going, she bumped into someone.

"Oh... Hey! I'm glad I ran into you," Scott said. She raised an eyebrow.

"You are? I-I am too. I wanted to tell you something." She said. He smiled.

"I wanted to ask you if you'd like to come over tonight. To my place" He said. She widened her eyes.

"Come over?"

"Yes"

"To your place?"

"...yes"

"Where you live... alone?" She stuttered. He smiled.

"That's normally how it works." He said. She sighed.

"Scott-"

"Look if you are not okay with this, we can keep taking it slow. It's just that, we have been on the first base for a while. But if you are not comfortable-"

"No, it's not that..." She said. He stopped.

"What's wrong?" He asked. She looked down at her shoes.

"Look, I love spending time with you. I do." She said. He sighed, his shoulders slumping.

"Oh..."

"It is not anything you did. You are a great guy. A smart, funny, caring guy. You are perfect." SHe said. He smiled.

"Just not perfect enough," He said, with a sad smile. She shook her head.

"No- no no it is not you." He stopped her by putting a hand on her shoulder.

"You chose him... and that's okay," He said. She showed him an apologetic smile.

"I uh... I have to go but I wish you two the best" He said, walking away. Camilla felt a bit bad for making it seem like she was choosing. But she couldn't help but feel free.

"Janssen..." A voice called. She turned around, glaring at the figure in front of her.

"Cheif." She mumbled.

"Congrats on the trial... It's incredible to think that your last patient was the one who brought the end to malignant gliomas." He mumbled. Camilla gulped, fiddling her fingers behind her back.

"I know... I guess it was a miracle, sir" She said. He sighed, looking around.

"I want to have a meeting with you tomorrow morning in my office," He said. She raised an eyebrow.

"Alright." She mumbled. He walked away, causing her heart rate to quicken. She knew already that she had messed up. But it was worth it... because, in her eyes, she just made history.
