minho said after fixing himself up that early morning because he and hyunjin were planning to go out somewhere special. hyunjin poked his head out from where he just took a shower and pouted.
❝ minho, we've been married for two years now yet you still call me "mr. hwang." ❞
he frowned and minho laughed.
❝ i was talking to myself. ❞
he pointed at his reflection on the mirror making hyunjin smile slyly at him.

❝ i'm so excited hyunjin! ❞
minho laughed excitedly from where he sat on the passenger's seat, hyunjin chuckled and held minho's hand gently, his other hand gripped on the wheel as he drove them out the small town.

they stopped at the old adoption center where minho brought them once, he still supported the center and they looked at the ongoing construction of the new building he and hyunjin donated to be built. they got off the car and minho pulled on hyunjin's hand, the younger laughing seeing minho so excited.

they bowed to the helpers in the center and hugged the lady already aging but smile still youthful, she ruffled minho's hair upon seeing him.
❝ minho! hyunjin! it's nice of you two to visit us. ❞
she smiled brightly.
❝ we're here to adopt jinae mrs. hong, is she still here? ❞
minho asked hopefully and her eyes sparkled.
❝ she has been waiting minho, jinae doesn't want anyone else to adopt her unless it's you. ❞
she led them to the playroom where the kids were.

❝ jinae! ❞
minho bent down and opened his arms, the girl about nine or ten years old looked up from where she was playing with her dolls and ran to minho's arms.
❝ are you here to adopt me? ❞
she asked minho as always every time he visited and minho smiled softly at her before ruffling her hair.
❝ yes, we'll finally be a family. ❞
he told her and her eyes welled up with tears, she hugged minho again and hyunjin smiled at them with his heart melting.

❝ b-but, i, i can't leave minyong here. she'll be all alone without me and we promised to stay together. ❞
jinae held onto minho's hands and he glanced back up at hyunjin.
❝ i did meet her once, is she still here? ❞
hyunjin asked her and jinae called out to her friend.

❝ AAAAAH! IT'S THE HANDSOME GUY AGAIN! ❞
minyong pointed at hyunjin, her book held in her other hand. hyunjin laughed and bent down to carry her, she was a bit younger than jinae but he had clearly remembered her from their first encounter.

❝ but we can only adopt one of you for now. ❞
minho frowned and wiped the tears away from jinae's cheek, minyong frowned and hugged hyunjin.
❝ well, we are looking for a daughter after all. ❞
a familiar voice said and they whipped their heads behind them seeing felix smiling at them, seungmin carrying their five year old son in his arms.

hyunjin gently placed minyong down and felix bent to her level, looking at her eyes with a comforting smile.
❝ will that be okay with you? doesn't kim minyong sound like a nice name? ❞
he asked and she grinned, running to hug felix and he laughed.
❝ it's a pretty name! ❞
she said and felix lifted her up.
❝ we have been planning to adopt her since then because she and seungmin bonded, but we could only adopt haesoo at the time. ❞

❝ how about me? what's my new name? ❞
jinae asked and minho glanced up at hyunjin who smiled at him.
❝ hwang jinae. ❞
he booped her nose and she giggled.

❝ i'm so happy for you two, i wish you all the luck in your new family. ❞
seungmin smiled at hyunjin and minho, holding minyong's hand while felix carried haesoo. hyunjin and minho bowed of thanks to them and jinae let go of hyunjin's hand to hug minyong.
❝ i'll visit you all the time okay minnie? ❞
she cupped the younger's face and minyong giggled.
❝ of course jinnie, you still need someone to tutor you in math. ❞
minyong told her.

❝ AWWWW SO CUTE! I SHIP IT! ❞
felix gushed and looked at them with heart eyes.
❝ felix! ❞
seungmin nudged him, he rolled his eyes but felix just giggled and kissed his husband's cheek.

the two families said their goodbyes and minho led jinae to the backseat of their car, hyunjin holding the adoption papers and some of her belongings. she sat on the car, patiently waiting for his two dads to get in. minho glanced back at her and smiled.

❝ we'll work hard to be the best parents for you. ❞
he told her softly and she smiled.
❝ i know you'll be, dad. ❞
she giggled and hyunjin glanced at minho.
❝ minho don't cry. ❞
he said smiling, also trying to choke back his own tears.

❝ SHE CALLED ME DAD! I'M A FATHER NOW HYUNJIN! ❞
minho cried and shook hyunjin's shoulders.
❝ we're both fathers now. ❞
he held his hand and jinae wrapped her small arms around them.
