hyunjin kept texting minho the next day because he was picking him up from work as usual but minho haven't replied to any of his texts nor calls that it made hyunjin confused and unsettled.

he glanced over to someone walking out the store minho worked at that particular day and ran to catch up with him.
❝ hey! excuse me. ❞
hyunjin waved and changbin stopped to look at him with a frown.
❝ aren't you the guy minho works for? ❞
he raised his eyebrow and hyunjin panted before he nodded his head.
❝ have you seen him? minho isn't replying to any of my texts. ❞
hyunjin said.

❝ he didn't come to work today but he's fine, he said he stayed over at a friend's place. ❞
changbin said and hyunjin's head tilted a little to the side confused.
❝ do you know where he is? o-or the address of his friend's place? ❞
he asked, already knowing he was probably staying at soojin's place.
changbin shook his head and said sorry but hyunjin just bowed and thanked him.

hyunjin went back into the car and called chan.
❝ chan hyung, gather me some information about a model named seo soojin. at least the location of where she lives. ❞
hyunjin said and chan replied for him to wait for a moment. a few minutes passed and chan called hyunjin back.
❝ luckily our company has enough connections to model agencies, she lives in the apartment building near cube, you'll probably be able to see it but i'll send the locations to your phone gps just in case. ❞
chan said and hyunjin tapped icons in his car to connect his phone to the car's gps.

❝ got it, thanks chan hyung. ❞
hyunjin said.
❝ anytime! ❞
hyunjin hung up and started to drive to where the directions were telling him.
he arrived at the apartment building and asked for soojin's floor and he went up the elevator to find minho.

he rung the doorbell and soojin opened up clearly surprised.
❝ can i help you? ❞
she asked with her eyes narrowing at him and hyunjin sighed.
❝ where's minho? ❞
he asked seriously and soojin smiled.
❝ why? listen, i don't care if minho works for you and all, but if your intentions are to hurt him then i'll do everything i can to protect him from you. he's more fragile than you think hwang hyunjin, don't add up to all those pain he's been living with for the past five years. ❞
soojin scolded him with a glare on her face before calling out to minho.

❝ h-hyunjin? ❞
minho asked as he walked towards the door and soojin left them alone to talk.
❝ come on, i'll get you home. ❞

the drive back to minho's apartment was silent but there was a heavy atmosphere that minho couldn't take, it wouldn't let him breathe.
❝ i don't want you seeing her ever again. that's a condition. ❞
hyunjin said out of the blue in a stern tone and minho's eyes widened, looking at him with a glare on his face.
❝ why not!? she's my best friend! ❞

❝ i don't care! you didn't act like just best friends last night! ❞
hyunjin yelled and gripped the wheel tighter.
❝ of course we wouldn't! we had to pretend remember!? why are you always so possessive!? i told you stop getting into my personal life! ❞
minho yelled back and hyunjin clenched his jaw.
❝ i can get into your personal life whenever i want! i let you off all of the time and gave you simple conditions but your naughty little self is so disobedient! do you know how angry it makes me feel!? ❞

❝ fine! let's just stop this! i don't need your help anyway! i wanted this to be over with already i think now is the time. ❞
minho huffed out an angry sigh and hyunjin slowed the pace of the car.
❝ no, you can't leave. we're still continuing this. ❞
hyunjin said and minho balled his fist in frustration.
❝ you don't own me! why are you always— ❞

❝ i said we're not stopping this minho! i'm not letting you go! ❞
hyunjin yelled at him a bit too harshly but he couldn't contain his anger that it made minho stop to look at him surprised and hurt.
❝ you're annoying. ❞
minho said and hyunjin felt his heart sink hearing how minho clearly meant it.
❝ i hate you.... ❞
he could hear minho whisper and he flinched to himself.

❝ get me out this car. ❞
minho said emotionless but hyunjin ignored him, not saying anything.
❝ i said get me out of this car hyunjin! ❞
minho yelled angrily. hyunjin shut his eyes closed and stopped, letting minho open the car door. he shut the door loudly making hyunjin flinch and walked away.

hyunjin got out the car and chased after him. he pulled on minho's arm and hugged him, his hand resting gently behind minho's head as he buried his face on his shoulder.

hyunjin whispered.
