minho winced as the morning sun touched his eyelids for he spent the night crying till his body gave in, he turned to the side and his hand reached out to the empty space beside him on the bed. a wave of pain washed over him as his eyes opened up and a blurry vision of that space beside him triggered the tears to fall again, his hand slowly clasped and he hugged himself alone in the empty bed, not knowing how hyunjin was feeling or was he alright. he wanted to say sorry, take the blame and put it all onto himself again but it would be unfair now that hyunjin knows what he actually feels.

he took in a moment to take a shaky breath and he shut his eyes close, in hoping to think it was all just a nightmare and everything, all the pain would go away, and then maybe hyunjin will come back home when the cold night falls and he'd throw his arms around him with the brightest smile. but minho knew that wasn't the reality waiting for him if he opened his eyes again so he chose to pretend everything was fine like he always does.

minho eventually got himself out the bed, grazing at the cold glass window of the living room watching the waves crash on the sand and the sun now shining down on the beach. he looked in the distance, searching for hyunjin and he clutched his chest, not knowing if he's able to take in on the pain of his heart heavy anymore. he glanced at his hand that grazed lightly on the glass, the promise ring twinkling on his finger, he held it and pressed it on his chest as he hugged himself again, yearning for hyunjin's warm embrace.
❝ please come home..... ❞
he whispered as if he was desperately begging and sobbed, sinking on his knees on the cold ground as the sun shone upon him from the window.

minho's train of thoughts were interrupted when he heard a knock on the door, he glanced at the door as teardrops still fell on his cheeks.
"hyunjin?"
he asked in thought and wiped his tears away, he used one hand and his other arm to lift him off the ground with his remaining strength.
he slowly walked towards the door that was still keep getting knocked on but stopped when he heard his phone ringing.

he walked to grab his phone from the counter and answered chan who was calling him before he walked towards the door again, he opened it revealing a man in a suit, he looked a lot like hyunjin and there were bodyguards behind him.
❝ minho get out the house and wait for me— ❞

❝ it's nice to finally meet you mr. lee minho. ❞
the man faked a smile and clicked his tongue as he eyed minho.
❝ my son has terrible taste. ❞
he spat out and minho lowered his phone, hyunjin's father and his bodyguards now harshly walking pass him and into the house.

he eyed the house with amusement and looked back at minho who couldn't say anything as he froze in his place.
❝ my visit here is simple, also don't expect my son coming back for you here for a while because i sent him on an urgent business trip to jeju this morning while we try to find you. i won't ask much but to cut ties with my son and leave him alone forever, if you still won't comply, then i can't help but make hyunjin take on all the blame instead. i'll take away all his inheritance, take away his freedom and if he still won't obey he can forget being our only child and he's free to go with you, honestly just seeing you now makes me embarrassed of what he sees in you. ❞
he laughed at his own offense as minho took in on his own painfully personal.

❝ that'll be too bad, wouldn't it? seeing hyunjin being expelled by his own family just because of some dirty little slut like you? isn't it funny? after i raised such a perfect son he'd end up like this! ❞
he laughed again and glared at minho who clenched his fists but he tried to hold himself back from punching hyunjin's father.
