5 am
"Y-Y/N? Are you there?"
"Yeah I am still here."
The plan sounded more exciting in my head...
"For real? C-Can you make some background noise so I am not that embarrassed?"
"Like what? Bird noises? I can try to whistle as well."
"Hmm... Maybe try singing something?"
You could feel Megumin dying of embarrassment just from her voice alone, so it was only fair for you to die of embarrassment as well and sing something out loud.
"How should I put this... Y/N your voice is not bad but it's huh... It seems like you are taking part in a ritual."
I thought it sounded ok...
*Clang*
Oh this has to be a joke
*Clang*
You hurriedly turned around after hearing that sound and started slamming the door:
"Megumin let's go! I think they're onto us!"
"Ju-Just one second!-"
She got out of the bathroom holding a water bottle
Turns out she was just drinking some tap water because apparently Crimson Demons «don't go» to the bathroom.
No confirmation from YunYun though.
But no time for that nonsense now
You pulled Megumin by her hand and started running in the opposite direction.
"Hey Y/N wait! I don't have that much stamina..."
"I can't carry you right now!"
Because you were currently on the first floor, there were no rooms in the corridor.
It was basically a straight line that offered no protection.
You knew it was useless to try and outrun those creepy things, so with no better alternative, used all your strength to pick up Megumin and run in the direction of a big storage cabinet placed in the hallway
