Aarav's POV

I heard Vineet saying "Aap Aarav ke liye kuch laayi thi na.. Kya hai buaji?"

I smiled, whenever she comes from hometown she gets me special gifts which makes me overwhelmed.

I heard something being kept on the table hard and my grandmother's voice "kya fayda hai tohfe ka jab ye dekh nahi sakta hai.. Pehle bata dete tum log toh iske use ka kuch le aati main"

Her words hurt me badly, I managed to smile and replied "aap ye jo bhi laayi hai wapas le jayie

Vineet kept his hand on my shoulder, I assured him I am fine.

"Buaji aap aayi hai toh aaj hum sab bahar ghumne chalte hai.. Kyun Aarav?" Vineet asked.

"Paagal ho gaya hai tu Vineet?? Iss andhe ko leke bahar jayega.. Kya sochenge sab? Haan?" Sushma said in her loudest voice, a shiver passed down my voice as I had never heard her in this voice before.

"Buaji please... beta hai mera aur aap yahan kuch din ke liye aayi hai shanti se rahiye" Ruhana said in an angry tone.

"Aise kaise baat kar rahi ho tum mujhse??" Sushma questioned.

"Please... Buaji agar aap humhe sahara nahi de sakti hai toh kamsekam Aarav ko bura bhala bhi mat kahiye.." Vineet requested Sushma.

"Nahi bolti kuch par bahar iske saath nahi jaungi main samjha.." Sushma said.

I smiled sarcastically and remembered..

"Dad.. maa.. Aap chinta mat karo Aarav hai na bua Dadi ko ghuma dega"

"Haa.. mera pota mujhe ache se ghumayega.. Tum dono apna kaam karo"

"Dadi.. aap toh best gift laati ho mere liye Dad ko bhi peeche chod diya aapne"

I interrupted "maa.. Dad aap dadi ko ghumane le jayie waise bhi meri tabiyat thik nahi hai mujhe kahi jaana nahi hai"

I stood up from my place, folding my hand in namaste a way to greet her and walked a bit, colliding with the dining table as my mind was busy with other thoughts I failed to feel it.
