Stamp your approval on my mind,
Impose false limits on my dreams.
Minions and yes sayers you bought
Assure, with loyalty, only you shine,
Truncate longing's teensiest gleam.
I shrink myself, sit in your blindspot,
Bask in changelessness enshrined:
Hipster's monopoly, hyped esteem.
Too old, you say, my ways' fraught.

To appease a fragile ego's scheme.
Even so, I cannot a nimble gavotte
Suppress, nor squash a joy sublime,
As fledglings utter original memes.
Guileless voices, freedom of thought,
With genuine inspiration they chime,
And by so doing, oke's odium redeem.
