Eren
I'd had to book it in order to make it to class on time. Of course I hadn't made it.
I looked around at the room around me, it was one of the most pristine classrooms I'd ever seen. Polished desks and spotless countertops all illuminated by the natural light that filtered in through windows so clear you couldn't even see them.
Mr. Ackerman began lecturing us about the rules of his class, he seemed like the type to enjoy things like rules. Order. I tuned him out and began doodling in my notebook.
"Hey Eren," Armin whispered, "Sorry I couldn't meet up with you this morning. I had something I needed to do." His blonde hair bobbed as he leaned closer to me.
I looked up from my notebook and glared at him, "What could be so important that you couldn't meet up with me? I got lost and was late because you-" I hissed.
"Eren why don't you see me after school so we can have a nice long talk since you obviously enjoy talking." Mr. Ackerman interrupted dryly. The whole class turned to look at me. I could feel heat rising into my cheeks and I knew I was probably already bright red.
"Yes sir." I choked out not daring to meet his gaze.
"Wonderful, now back to the rules." He turned back to the class, "I expect you all to be able to respect both me and my classroom. As you can see I..."
Blah blah blah.
I tuned him out again and turned my attention back to my notebook. I drew the same thing I always did to distract myself. I'd started with her eyes, I remembered them so well. The rest of her was always fuzzy in my head but her eyes were always there. The lines of my pencil flowed gently shaping the rest of her face.

"Eren that's beautiful," my mother smiled admiring my drawing, she'd always loved them. "I'll hang it up on the fridge along with the rest."
I beamed as she took my picture to the already over-cluttered refrigerator and hung my picture up in the only remaining blank space.
"We'll have to buy another fridge if we want to keep up with you little artist," she laughed. Her laugh reminded me of tinkling bells, a beautiful melodic sound.

"Eren it's almost as if you're trying to piss me off."
I blinked quickly bringing myself out of my memories and to the present. Once again all eyes were glued on me. It took me a moment to realize that Mr. Ackerman was talking to me. "Sorry sir, uh- did you ask me something?"
"Yes, I asked if you could repeat what I just said." Mr. Ackerman crossed his arms over his chest, his silver eyes piercing mine as he waited for an answer. For such a small man he managed to possess an indisputable pressence.
"Er- um, I... You said that... we should," I fumbled for my words, "Not talk in class?" I was screwed.
"Nice attempt at bullshit Jaeger," he began walking towards me with long angry strides, "but if you'd been listening you'd know that I said that you'd better learn to pay attention because I grade your participation and if you're not paying attention you'd better bet I'll fail you, are we clear?"
His hands were braced on either sides of my desk, griping it with enough force you'd think he'd break it. His face was inches from my own.
"Sorry sir," I muttered.
"You'd better be." he released my desk with a slight shove just as the bell rang dismissing us all to our next classes.
"I'll see you after school Eren. Don't be late. Again."
