"We need to drive to the school for a second to pick up my car," Levi grumbled. I watched him drive from the corner of my eye, the muscles in his forearm were tense as he gripped the steering wheel. His jaw was clenched, his dark eyes were fixated on the road from beneath his furrowed brow. I wondered if he ever let his face relax. A slow smile found its way onto my face as I imagined the ways I could change his permanent scowl.

"Oi Brat we're here at the school, do you think you can drive yourself back home from here?"

I was startled out of my fantasy by Levi's firm voice, momentary confused, "What?"

He sighed and rubbed his temple, "I need to be able to drive my car home from here so I need you to drive yourself home from here. Can you handle that?"

"Oh yes sir!" I nodded enthusiastically, leaping out of the car forgetting my injury. I winced, immediately regretting jumping out so suddenly.

I brushed his hand away even though all I wanted was for him to never let me go. I couldn't let him see how desperate I was for him. "I'm fine sir, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Right," Levi groaned, "school."

"Yeah," I laughed nervously, "until then."

"Until then," he echoed, turning to his own sleek black car. The comparison to my own dingy brown one was amazing, almost humorous.

I got into the driver's side of my car and sped away in the opposite direction as my teacher. I could barely make out the shape of his car in my rear view mirror due to the dark. I had been so caught up in the excitement of today I didn't realize how late it was. Mikasa's going to kill me. I groaned inwardly.

All thoughts of Mikasa soon vanished and were replaced with that day's events. It felt like a dream, injuring Levi and going to his house.

Kissing him.

I touched my lips almost involuntary, savoring the memory of his lips molded against mine. I grew flush remembering how forward I'd been, I didn't know what had come over me. All I knew is that I'd wanted him. It took every ounce of self control within me not to turn around and go to him.

God I wanted him.

By the time I reached the apartment complex I was a wreck. I gritted my teeth and pulled into my parking space. I couldn't let Mika or Armin see me, they'd ask questions.

Questions I was not prepared to answer. I slid out of my seat and slammed the car shut behind me. I climbed the wiry steel staircase up to the second level of the complex. I stood in front of my door and fumbled with my keys until I singled out the small, silver house key.

I opened the door as soundlessly as I could, praying it was late enough that Mikasa and Armin were asleep. I knew some nights Armin would stay up late studying and Mikasa often was up late training. Hopefully neither were the case tonight.

A slight creak signaled my entrance as I crept through the doorway. As I set my shoes down in the dark entryway my stomach growled reminding me I hadn't eaten anything since lunch. I padded into the kitchen and switched on the light, making a beeline for the fridge which had been yellowed with age. The clinking sound of bottles and containers of food being pushed aside echoed like a quiet hum as I searched for something to eat. Finally I settled with making myself a sandwich after finding some packaged ham, swiss cheese, and mayo. Once my arms were full with my ingredients I shut the fridge with my backside and dumped my loot on the speckled countertop. I grabbed the loaf of bread and reached for a knife for my mayo. As I made my sandwich I mulled over what had happened today with Levi once more.
