Eren

"Eren, I'm not sure I can lie to Mikasa..." Armin said, his voice was laced with unease.

"You'll be fine." I collected my things from my locker so I could take them with me to my detention, "She won't suspect a thing. Stop worrying so much."

"She's going to kill me Eren and It's going to be your fault," he whinned, "Why can't you just tell her the truth?"

"Why do you think? She'll insist on staying to babysit me and I don't need that. Mr. Ackerman's already pissed off enough at me as it is. I'm sure he would't be to overjoyed if I brought her."

"Can you just tell her that?" Armin pushed, trying his best to get out of this. I guess he didn't really owe me any favors considering I'd made him late to Ms. Zoe's class but he hadn't gotten in any trouble so what was he complaining about? "Mr. Ackerman's a teacher, he could always make her leave."

I sighed heavily, he just didn't get it. "Has anyone ever made Mikasa do anything? Even a teacher?"

"No but-"

"When Mikasa's determined about something she almost always gets her way, and I really don't want her to come with me."

"But-"

"Armin please!" I begged, hoping to drop the topic.

The urgency of my words shut him up right away. He nodded tentatively, "Alright... But you owe me."

"Thanks Armin," I put a hand on his frail shoulder before pulling away and walking towards the direction of Mr. Ackerman's classroom.

The empty sound of my footsteps echoed in the desolate hallways. The students had already cleared out for the day. I wonder if anyone else has detention today.

"No," I muttered aloud to myself, "Only I'm stupid enough to get detention on the first day." I stopped in front of the classroom and hesitantly reached for the door. I could hear the sound of muffled voices behind it. I didn't want to interrupt but I also knew Mr. Ackerman would skin me alive if I was late to detention too.

"Uh, Mr. Ackerman?" I opened the door, unsure and nervous about this entire situation. "I'm here for my um, detention." Ms. Zoe stood leaning against Mr. Ackerman's desk where he was busily writing in the grade book. The glasses faced woman turned to me with a huge grin.

"Eren! What a pleasant surprise! What's this nonsense about detention?" She turned to Mr. Ackerman and glared, "Levi did you really give this poor detention on his first day as a Junior?"

"Oi woman it's not like he's innocent. he was late to class and interrupted my lecture, twice." He looked up from his work and picked up his mug of tea by the rim, an odd trait, "And don't call me by my first name in front of students shit-glasses."

Ms. Zoe bucked over with laughter, hugging her center a if trying to hold herself back. "Whatever you say captain!"

Mr. Ackerman narrowed his eyes at her, and set his tea down to pick up his pen, "Get out of my classroom I have work to do."

"Work?" She asked innocently, glancing at me with a devilish smile, "I'll leave you to that then, adieu Mr. Acker-midget, toodle-oo Eren." With that she bolted from the room slamming the door behind her.

The pen snapped in the smaller man's hand and he shot out of his seat. "That stupid bitch-" I stopped him before he could chase down the woman who was no doubt long gone by now.

"Sir it's okay, calm down."

He slapped my hand of his shoulder, "Mind your own business brat. you're here for detention remember. You'll start with the desks and then the windows." He ordered sitting down to finish his work?"
