The car ride was a long and agonizing one. Neither of us dared say a word, in fear of saying the wrong thing. The world outside blew past us like a passing thought. Sleek, modern style houses lined the streets. I felt out of place in my broken down car. The homes weren't exactly wealthy but, they were nice none the less.

"6754 Cina Drive, right?" I asked Levi in an attempt to break the silence.

His eyes didn't detour from their place, watching the pavement be devoured into the belly of my broken tin can of a car. "That's right, it'll be coming up shortly."

I nodded, my hands adjusted themselves on the steering wheel, slick from my sweat. I shot nervous glances at him from the corner of my eye.

I couldn't get earlier's events out of my head. I don't know what inside if me decided to act so brash. All I knew was that at that moment in time all I had wanted to do was hold him. Even now I had the urge to be near him again.

"Oi brat you passed it."

"Huh?" I looked around dazed, "Oh shit! I'm so sorry."

"Stop saying that, just turn around."

"Right, sorry."

"For the love of god," Levi rubbed the bridge of his nose. His face was laced with irritation. I blushed and drove around.

I pulled into the driveway of a black modern looking home. The lawn was well kept and manicured, not a blade of grass was out if place. As expected of my perfectionist of a teacher. I smiled at the thought.

"Do you need me to walk you in?" I asked as I switched to park.

"Yeah," he murmured softly, "Just don't try carrying me again."

A small laugh escaped my lips, "Alright then." I twisted the key out if the ignition shutting the car off. I got out and made my way over to Levi's door so I could help him out. I extended my hand for him to take. He stared at it for a moment before accepting it.

I pulled him out of the car and led him up the marble walkway to his front door. It was a dark crimson color, a startling contrast to the blacks and grays that covered the house.

When we reached the door he slid his hand out of mine with a sharp tug. I'd almost forgotten I was still holding it. He reached in his pocket for his keys and fumbled with them for a brief moment in search of a specific key. They chimed in his hand with every movement he made. Once he found what he was looking for he opened the door and entered the house. He slid of his shoes and set them neatly by the door.

"Are you just going to stare or are you coming in?"

I blushed and looked down at my feet, "I didn't know if you wanted me to."

"It's fine, come inside. I'll make a pot of tea." He disappeared into what I assumed to be a kitchen.

"Thank you." I stepped in, repeating his motion of removing my shoes. I gazed around the vast space. Simple black furniture dotted the pure white carpet in an orderly fashion. The walls were barren save for the windows. Various textbooks filled the black bookshelves. Algebra, Literature, Economics, Latin, I ran fingers along the thick spines. Besides the books there was nothing else remotely personal in the house.

"Are you going to continue snooping around my things or are you going to sit down?"

I yelped with surprise at the sound of his voice, "I wasn't snooping! Don't sneak up on people like that!"

"It's my house, I can do whatever the hell I want." Levi held two pale white teacups by their rims, a bittersweet scent rose from the dark liquid within. "Come on, I'm tired of standing."
