The authorities came out and took Derek's statement since he had been last to see her. They started their investigation, but there wasn't much they could do to help. They pulled the footage from Joe's bars footage, but there wasn't much that could help there either.

Derek's POV
I was sent home by Richard. I didn't want to go, I wanted to work. I couldn't work though I was way to distracted to preform any sort of surgery. I planned to go to my trailer, but vetoed that idea since it was still early. I went to Joe's and drank remembering how me and Meredith's last interaction was just like this, us both drinking our sorrows away at Joe's. I bitterly laughed before paying for my drinks and taking a cab back to a hotel since cabs didn't go on Ferry's. I paid for my room and entered the small hotel room. It was almost like being back at the trailer. I found some comfort in that. I order room service ate and slept off the alcohol. Hoping that the authorities would have a lead in the morning.

Cristina's POV
My person is lost who knows where the authorizes are no use so I'm doing some investigation work myself. Barbie (Izzie) and Bambi (George) offered to help with my little detective endeavor, but I declined they were to emotional. They'd probably cry more than they'd actually help. Although crying seemed easier than facing the fact that Meredith was gone seemingly with no trace. I got to Joe's that seemed like a fair place to start this little search since that was the last place she was at. I noticed McDreamy was in the bar as soon as I got there. I would have seen if he wanted to help, but he was far to wasted to do anything actually productive. I got to the bar and quickly flagged Joe over.

Joe's POV
"Tequila?" I asked noticing it seemed like everyone was drowning their sorrows in the wake of Meredith's disappearance not that he blamed them she seemed to have fallen off the face of the planet with no telling where she had gone after the cab.
"No I was actually going to ask about the Taxis that came around here, I know it's a long shot but are there like specific taxis that come around here? Maybe one just steals super drunk girls? A taxi that always makes rounds here? Anything." She ask trying to get any and all information she can get with the hope that maybe something would help bring her person home.
"I don't believe that any of the taxis that come here are ever here more than once or make round here" I answer honestly wishing I could give her more answers, but the truth is I had non taxi drivers didn't talk to him he often interacted with them. He rarely had someone at the bar that was so plastered he had to put them in the taxi. He supposed that the only way he would realistically ever have to had interacted with a driver.
"Do any of the drivers sometimes come in for a drink? It may seem innocent, but maybe they are scoping out potential plastered people to take" she says desperation for any sort of lead evident in her voice.
"There's a newer driver that will occasionally come in for a drink when he doesn't have to shuttle to many people back and forth, not many people come into the bar for a drink I mean after all they have to drive people around" I say perplexed by the thought that it was odd for a taxi driver to come in for a drink since service was 'slow'. Maybe Cristina was on to something.

Cristina's POV
Joe just told me that one of the cab drivers comes in for drinks occasionally who was this man I needed to know.
"Well who is he? What's his name? Does he live here?" I ask alert that I may have a lead. I wanted so badly to think horses I heard hoof beats but all I could think was zebra. I had to think zebra if I wanted to get my person back.
"Oh um- I'm not sure I've only talked to him a couple times I think it was something like Finn... God what was his last name..Oh yeah Dandridge. Yeah that it Finn Dandridge" Joe said and without another word I scribbled the name down and walked out of the bar. I took the name to Callie as she always was able to dig up dirt on people. Maybe she could get an address or phone number something. After an hour or so of what seemed like illegal and definitely invasive research she got an address. Some cabin really deep in the woods. Me and Callie planned to go there tomorrow maybe take Evil Spawn (Alex) just in case this guys seemed like he could be dangerous.

The next morning
Cristina's POV
Me, Callie, and Alex are going to the cabin that Callie got an address for yesterday. It was a long drive, and when we arrived it seemed vacant. No movement nothing. The house seemed still. Alex was first to get out the door was slightly a gape, so he pushed it the rest of the way open. It was dark, dingy, and their were alcoholic beverages all over the floor. Came upon can piled, glass bottles mostly broken littered the floor. If he lived here he definitely lived a low quality of life. Alex groped around in the dimly lit room till he found a switch. He flicked it and a dim light turned on.
"Look" I said pointing to the one door at the right of the room.
"Well ladies first" Alex said not wanting to go to the door first.
"I'm not going first" I said sternly.
We both looked back at Callie who huffed "Are you two seriously afraid to open a door?" Me and Alex both reluctantly shook our heads yes. With this she trudged through the crap on the floor to the door and tugged it open. Another dark room great I though as we looked into the dark room. Alex then proceeded to walk hastily in front and fell down the stairs. With that me and Callie followed slow behind finding another switch which gave us another dim light. The room was concrete. There were ropes in the ground some blood, but no person. With the blood we decided the go back up out of the room. We weren't going to call the police till we walked out to the backyard and seen a man who appeared to have been run down. The keys were still in the ignition. We checked his pulse and confirmed our suspicions, he was dead. With this we called the police.
