1 Week Later.. In the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters.. At the Flame Hashira's Mansion..

"Sayonara, Kyojuro!" Natsumi chirped, happily waving her tiny little hands towards the departing figure of the Flame Hashira as he heads off towards a far-away village, where his most latest mission was assigned

Thinking back on how far away the village was from Headquarters, Rengoku couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed for being unable to follow through his promise, but thankfully he wasn't alone with this responsibility, if he hadn't known about the Water Hashira's week-off the other day, he would have surely lost himself from worrying about the consequences of his own actions..

Flashback: A Couple of Nights Ago.. At the Water Hashira's Mansion..

"Tomioka! Tomioka, are you in ther-" Rengoku shouted, banging his hands rather aggressively towards the Water Hashira's front door as he awaited for a response

"What? What is it now, Rengoku?" Tomioka yawned, shaking his head lightly as he immediately turns to look at him in slight caution, after all it wasn't exactly unusual for him to receive unannounced midnight visits at his doorstep, especially when there was a mission involved..

"Pardon me for interrupting you on your week-off, Tomioka! But this is an emergency!"

"Emergency? What's the situation?"

"Hinokami! I need you to watch Hinokami for me the day after tomorrow, while I'm out on a mission!" Rengoku exclaimed as Tomioka shudders at the thought of Rengoku's demon savior..

It wasn't like he was holding up a grudge against her or anything, but thinking back on everything that had happened to him at the Snowy Mountains, he couldn't help but feel a slight ping of resentment towards Natsumi's actions at the time..

"I-"

"Thank you so much for volunteering, Tomioka! You have no idea just how much of a life saver, you are!" Rengoku cutted in, barely even bothering to acknowledge the fact, that Tomioka was literally just standing there, looking absolutely terrified with everything he just said

"But, I-"

"Ha! Ha! I appreciate your help, Tomioka! There's no doubt, Hinokami would love the company!"

"But-"

"Oh! I better get going, now! I'll see you tomorrow, bright and early! Ha! Ha!" Rengoku exclaimed as he quickly rushes off towards his Mansion, leaving behind nothing but a dumbfounded Water Hashira in his wake..

"But, I didn't agree to do this.."

Back to Reality, At the Flame Hashira's Mansion..

Tomioka's pov

'I can't believe, I'm actually doing this..' I thought, allowing an exasperated little sigh to escape my lips as I slowly turned my head towards the side, only to find Rengoku's little Demon already gone from my side

"You got to be kidding me.." I muttered as I immediately found myself barging in to the Flame Hashira's Mansion, just to check on whether or not, Hinokami was in there and not anywhere else

"Clean~! Clean~! Clean~!" A familiar little voice sang as I quickly turned my head towards the living room, only to let out a sigh of relief at the sight of Hinokami, simply cleaning up the living room like she normally does in the morning

"Don't run off like that, Hinokami.." I uttered as she innocently turns her head towards me, only to put up a cheerful little smile as she quickly nods her head in response towards our mutual agreement..

Sighing in slight despair, I couldn't help but wonder just for how long does Rengoku expects me to watch her for, it's true that today was my week-off from work, but surely he isn't expecting me to sit here all day just to babysit this Demon

'I guess, I'll just have to deal with it until he gets back..'

Meanwhile, In the Shingetsu Fortress.. At the Lotus Mansion..

"Oh, Yushiro~!" Kanae chimed, flashing a kind and gentle smile toward a certain little nursing staff, who was currently growling over by the corner

"Ugh! What do you want now!?" Yushiro hissed, only to receive an amused little chuckle coming from the Former Flower Hashira as she sat comfortably over her chair, casually rolling a vial of Natsumi's rejuvenation medications by her fingers, almost if it were the most fascinating things in the world..

"Oh! Nothing special.. Just thought, you wouldn't mind sending a delivery to Doctor Tamayo~" Kanae purred, lightly shaking the glass vial in her hands, only to hear a harsh scowl coming from her nursing staff

"Grr.. Fine! Give me, that!" Yushiro snarled, only to end up snatching up that fragile little vial from Kanae's grasp as he immediately storms off towards the Laboratory, just to deliver Kanae's package for Doctor Tamayo..

Fortunately for him, the trip towards the Laboratory chamber hadn't taken longer than a couple of minutes, considering the fact that he just asked Sabito to deliver it for him in his stead, only to soon realize just how much of a big mistake that was..

'Dammit!? That would have been the perfect opportunity for me to be alone with Lady Tamayo!?' He mentally scowled, barely even noticing the fact that Sabito was practically laughing at him for being unable to realize it sooner

'Hehe.. You should have thought about that while you still had the chance, Yushiro..' The Water Wield smirked, silently laughing to himself as he immediately began speed walking over towards the Laboratory chamber, to make his delivery..

..And yet unfortunately for him, Tamayo had bigger things in mind for him to do..

As soon as Tamayo was finally able to finish handling Natsumi's medicines, it was Sabito's turn to feel rather helpless at this point, not only was Tamayo asking him to deliver Natsumi's medicines to her but she was also asking him to meet up with the Hashira who was currently watching her, much to his dismay..

'Haa.. So much for avoiding, Giyuu.. Let's just hope Giyuu isn't the one who's watching her this time..'
