At the Shingetsu Fortress, Lotus Mansion..

Yoriichi's pov

'400 years.. My consciousness has been asleep for over 400 years while both, my mind and body were being used as a mindless puppet to carry out Kibutsuji's terrible little schemes..' I thought, hanging my head low as I slowly began to feel absolutely miserable about myself for all of things I have done as a demon

'What about Natsumi? Is she still alive? Did Muzan killed her? Or, was it the Demon Slayers? Did I really left her in the forest that night? I must really be a bad parent for abandoning her..' I pondered once more as I slowly began to shed tears over my cheeks, crying and sobbing in unbelievable pain at the thought of having to betray the only person whom I have came to love and cherish as a family, the only one whom I treated as my own flesh and blood, even though she wasn't technically mine to begin with..

"Shh.. Shh.. There's no need to cry, Yoriichi.. It wasn't your fault, Kibutsuji merely took advantage of you that night and you know it.." Tamayo cooed, only to receive a gentle sob as I immediately tried to stop myself from crying

After all, it does makes perfect sense if Kibutsuji hadn't used Natsumi as a human shield that night, then perhaps none of this would have happened..

'We could have still been together, until I was already old enough to die.. Natsumi wouldn't have to suffer all those years of loneliness if Kibutsuji hadn't took me away from her.. Wait a minute.. What would really happen if I did die? Won't that mean Natsumi would always still be alone with no one else to care for her?' I wonder, finally ceasing the last drops of my tears as I slowly began to fix my composure, little by little until I was fully capable to think a little more reasonably than before..

"Are you feeling alright, now?" Tamayo asked as I slowly nodded my head in response, only to receive a gentle smile as my stomach slowly starts to growl in slight hunger

"Come with me, Yoriichi.. Let's get you something to eat, I'm sure your stomach will appreciate a nice warm meal to fix your appetite.." Tamayo suggested as I slowly nodded my head in agreement and followed her out towards the dining room of the mansion, only to find a few more other Demons lingering around this place other than Tamayo and myself as it seems..

"Ara~! Ara~! Isn't this a sweet surprise?" A kind and sweet voice sounded as Tamayo and I slowly turned our heads towards the side, just to catch a glimpse of two familiar and yet unfamiliar individuals sitting right before us..

"Y-Yoriichi.."

"Aniue?"

Meanwhile.. Back at the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters.. Inside the Flame Hashira's Mansion..

"Oh! And, there was this one time when Tanjiro and Kanao went on a mission toge-"

"Ah! I t-think that's e-enough stories for one day, N-Nezuko!" Tanjiro exclaimed, feeling slightly embarrassed as his cheeks slowly began to brighten with embarrassment from the sudden reminder of his little excursions with the Insect Hashira's Tsuguko..

Noticing the boy's embarrassment, Natsumi couldn't help but let out a slight giggle as Tanjiro's cheeks slowly starts to darken, earning an amused little snicker coming from the Sound Hashira himself

"Hehe! Don't act so much like a flamboyant little virgin, kid! It was bound to happen either way so there's no point in being shy about it!" Uzui exclaimed, speaking from his own personal experience, it was quite clear that he was an expert when it comes to such deceitful desires

"There's no need to feel embarrassed, Tanjiro.. Everyone is bound to have a crush at some point.. Yours, just so happens to be the Insect Hashira's Tsuguko" Natsumi giggled, loving the fact that Tanjiro was already starting to look like a bright red strawberry just from blushing too much

Deciding to let her brother have a break, Nezuko didn't bother think twice about defusing this situation with a game of Shogi, considering the fact that Uzui wasn't planning on leaving without a winning rematch against Natsumi..

A Few Minutes Later..

"Checkmate.."

"Dammit.. That was so uncalled for, I call for another rematch.." Uzui exclaimed as his eyes slowly began to glimmer with determination, looking absolutely determined to beating the Little Demon once and for all..

"Alrighty, then.. One more round.." Natsumi replied, setting up the board game once again as Uzui quickly tries to come up with a strategy to seal his victory against the little troublemaker for good

"Wow.. Mister Uzui looks really determined to beat Hinokami.." Nezuko commented, hearing a slight hum of agreement coming from her older brother as he takes a sip from his cup of tea

"Haa.. He'll give up eventually plus it's not like you'd be able to crack her strategy without knowing the mechanics behind it.." Sabito sighed, allowing a gentle yawn to escape his lips as he sneakily tries to snatch a small glance of the Water Hashira's face

"She really is something.. For a demon.." Tomioka uttered as he ignores the fact that Sabito was totally checking him out from the sidelines..

"Oh! I'm sure Mister Uzui would figure it out sooner or later.." Tanjiro cheered, only to receive a slight giggle as Natsumi makes her first move upon the board

"We'll see about that~" Natsumi purred as Uzui smirks at her challenge

"Ha! I accept your challenge, kid! I bet your flamboyant little ass that I'll win this last round!" Uzui exclaimed, only to receive a taunting little giggle coming from Natsumi as their game slowly approaches further into its finishing point, when Uzui fell for another one of Natsumi's trapped moves yet again..

"Checkmate!"

"You got to be kidding me!?"
