At a Village at the Far East..

"Take care of yourself, Big Brother!"

"I'll be back shortly to check on you Tanjiro, be careful on your assignment"

Nezuko and Hinokami stated as Tanjiro gave a small smile and nodded before hugging Nezuko one last time as he watches her disappear along with Hinokami

"Alright.. Time to go look for that Demon" Tanjiro mutters to himself as he entered the village that was assigned to him for his mission

Tanjiro searched the village from top to bottom but couldn't find any clues, he tried asking the locals for any kind of suspicious activity in the area but no one was able to provide any additional information to the original report of his Kasugai crow

Sighing in slight defeat, Tanjiro nearly gave up hope on continuing the search if he hadn't stumbled upon a depressed looking young mother at a small alley, searching for someone with tears in her eyes

Tanjiro couldn't help but feel sympathy for the young stranger but he did wanted to help so, he approached her and offered her his assistance in finding her missing son.

Tanjiro's pov

"So, you lost your son at this area last night?"

"Yes, I remember walking home with Haru at this area, so late at night.."

'If she lost him here..' I thought as an idea struck me

"I got it! Miss, Do you by chance have anything that belongs to your son? Like a piece of his clothing or perhaps a toy he was holding?" I asked, only to see the mother giving me a confused look on her face

"I have a keen nose so it would be easier for me to locate him if I'm able to track his scent" I explained as her eyes lit up with hope before reaching into her sleeves

"Would his slipper do? I found it right after he disappeared from my side" She stated and pulled out a straw child sized slipper from her sleeves and give it to me

I gave it a small sniff and was able to catch the faint scent of the mother's missing son over it, not bothering to waste time I quickly got to work and started searching the alley for the missing boy

"Any luck? It's already so dark.. Shouldn't we try again, tomorrow"

"No, It's quite alright ma'am.. At least this way the kidnapper would be able to show itself.. It only appears in the night time after all" I stated as the mother grew confused

"Tanjiro!" a voice called as I turned my head towards the side and caught sight of Nezuko running towards me dressed in a similar uniform as I do, except the cuffs of her sleeves and her collar were pink..

"Nezuko!" I called as she got me into a small hug, only to receive a brief interrogation session with her afterwards

"How are you doing with the mission, Big brother? Found the Demon yet?" she asked as I shook my head in disappointment

"Almost.. I'm just helping this lady find her missing son" I replied, barely noticing Nezuko giving off a suspicious look on her face as the mother beside me decided to ask..

"Umm.. Who is she?"

"Oh! This is my little sister, Nezuko.." I answered as the mother looked at me surprised before suddenly giving a wicked smile on her face

"Your little sister, eh?" She started as her smile grew

"Well, isn't that lucky? Now, you won't have to worry about being alone in my belly~!" she exclaimed as we saw her body began to change along with her scent..

'What the-!? She's the Demon this whole time!?' I thought as I grew absolutely horrified of this Demon, I can't believe she was able to trick me into believing her lies about her missing son

'How could I missed that? Wait a minute aren't demons made from Kibutsuji's blood suppose to burn under the sun? Then that would mean Hinokami created this Demon!? A traitor, then!?' I thought as I began to recall on Hinokami's warning about this, how Kibutsuji was able to put his influence on her demons and turn them against her..

Gritting my teeth in anger, I quickly drew out my Nichirin sword and aimed the tip of my blade towards her, only to hear the Demon mocking me before suddenly getting her jaw slashed by Nezuko

"Don't you dare mock my big brother, you two-faced liar!" Nezuko exclaimed angrily as I caught sight of a Bright Pink Nichirin sword in her hands that was dripping with the Demon's blood

"Why, you little.. I'll make you pay for damaging my face you little brat!" The Demon exclaimed as she attempted to attack us with her bare hands

"Breath of Water; Fourth Form: Striking Tide!"

"Breath of Flower; Second Form: Honorable Shadow Plum!"

Nezuko and I exclaimed as we made multiple attacks towards the Demon but it wasn't enough, its skin was too tough for us to cut, we wouldn't be able to cut through it without getting our swords snapped in the process, and yet we still tried our best to succeed and managed to push through and defeat the Demon with a few minutes to spare before dawn arrives..

"We did it.. Thank goodness" I sighed in relief as Nezuko turned towards me with a smile on her face and congratulated me for a successful mission that was until we heard another voice congratulated me from behind

"Eh? Hinokami?" I called as I turned my head around, only to see Hinokami standing there with a proud look on her face as she gave a gentle smile upon her lips and rewarded us with a gentle head pat like she always do

"You both have done well on your first mission.. I'm sure you'd make your parents proud.." Hinokami stated as Nezuko and I smiled in response before suddenly hearing the high-pitched squawking of my crow

"Caw! Caw! South! Southeast! A demon has been spotted at South! Southeast!" Caw!" the crow squawked as Hinokami gave a gentle sigh and wished me good luck for my next mission

"Here, Big brother! Wear this and never take it off no matter what.." Nezuko stated as she placed me a pearl bracelet around my wrist and gave me one last hug before retreating back to Shingetsu Fortress with Hinokami

I sighed as I gave a small smile to myself before leaving 'Take care of yourself too, Nezuko..' I thought as I began to chase after my Kasugai Crow towards my next location.
