A Couple of Hours Later..

"..And that's basically it!" Nezuko ended as she concluded her entire recap on everything that has happened since the day her brother fell ill

"I see.. So, that's what happened.." Tanjiro muttered, melancholy as Nezuko tries to cheer him up from his self-disappointment

"Cheer up, Tanjiro.. It's not like you to be so down over something that could be easily remedied.." Nezuko cheered as she lays her head against Tanjiro's lap

"But, I can't help it.. it's already embarrassing enough that Hinokami had to go through all of that trouble just to help me" Tanjiro replied as he heard a small chuckle coming from the doorway..

Glancing towards the doorway, Tanjiro gave a surprised little gasp as he saw Natsumi, standing by the doorway with a leather backpack in her hands

"H-Hinokami?!" Tanjiro exclaimed, only to see Natsumi strolling over towards him as she plopped herself down besides Nezuko with the leather backpack resting on her lap

"You really should be more careful with your opponents, Tanjiro.. Never underestimate your opponents if you know luck isn't always on your side" Natsumi uttered as Tanjiro nodded his head in understanding

"Hey, Hinokami? What's in the bag, you got there?" Nezuko asked as she tries to sit up from her spot, only to see a gentle smile appeared on Natsumi's lips

"Oh, this? This is for Tanjiro to use on his missions.." Natsumi replied, only to hear a small scoff coming from the old demon slayer within the room

"Want to say something to me, Old Hashira?" Natsumi sneered, glaring daggers towards Urokodaki as her eyes slowly began to expose bits and pieces of her demon nature from underneath her mortal disguise..

"You really are a strange Demon.." Urokodaki commented, only to see her starting to simmer down as Tanjiro decided to strike up a conversation with her to past the time.

A Few Days Later..

It's been over a few days now and Tanjiro was finally able to get back on his feet, after successfully getting his body all limbered up again by practicing his training at the back of Urokodaki's cottage with Natsumi and Nezuko

Urokodaki didn't know why he'd even bothered to let them stay, yet he couldn't bring himself to kick them out either, it wasn't like he felt the need to take pity on them or anything but he was curious about something..

While Tanjiro spends his time training with Nezuko under Natsumi's supervision, Urokodaki spent his days observing them, making sure he doesn't misses even a single bit of information about Tanjiro's Guardian..

'Hn.. The Oyakata-sama really should know about this..' Urokodaki though as he suddenly heard the light clinking of chimes coming from the front of the house

"Ah! Urokodaki, it's been awhile" Urokodaki heard as he turned his head towards the side, only to find a familiar swordsmith standing right before him

"Hotaru Haganezuka.. About time you'd show up" Urokodaki uttered, only to see the old swordsmith strolling over towards him as he carries a package over his back

"I have come for Tanjiro Kamado.. I brought his sword with me.." Haganezuka announced as Urokodaki nodded his head softly before leading him towards the back of the house

Only to find Tanjiro having a break with his sister, while their mentor was lecturing them on common knowledge about the Demon Slayer Corps as the two old men began to approach..

"Which one of you is Tanjiro Kamado? I have brought his sword" Haganezuka started, breaking the latter from their conversation as Tanjiro turned his head towards him with a gleeful smile

"Oh! That would be me!" He answered as Natsumi gave a calculating gaze towards Haganezuka before turning her head towards the katana that was commissioned for Tanjiro..

By the time Haganezuka was finished explaining all that he needed to say, Tanjiro had immediately began to draw out his sword and admire the blade as it slowly starts to change color

"Black!?" Haganezuka exclaimed angrily as Tanjiro grew worried "Why? Is something wrong? Is it unlucky?" he asked feeling disappointed to have been given such a terrible color

"No, no its just unusual.. It's pitch black" Urokodaki repeated, only to be corrected by Natsumi as she took the blade from Tanjiro's hands

"Actually.. It's Blood Red-Orange" Natsumi stated as she wipes off the thin layer of coal-like ash that Haganezuka forgot to wipe off after forging..

"Blood Red-Orange!?" Haganezuka exclaimed, almost happy with the sudden change of result, even though at first he was so close into killing Tanjiro for being an loosy swordsman

'Strange.. I never seen an Orange blade before?' Urokodaki thought as Natsumi smiled at the brilliant shine that the blade gave before handing it back towards Tanjiro

Seeing as he was no longer needed here, Haganezuka began to take his leave right after Tanjiro showed his gratitude for coming through all the trouble to deliver him his sword..

"You should go and get yourself changed, Tanjiro.. It's better to be prepared rather than delay yourself on a mission.." Natsumi advised as Tanjiro nodded his head eagerly as he went to get himself changed, leaving Nezuko to pout towards Natsumi for not being able to get a sword of her own

"Hmm.. Worry not, Nezuko.. You'll receive yours soon enough.." Natsumi stated as Nezuko gave a small whine before nodding her head lightly as she suddenly heard her brother's voice calling out to them from over the distance

"You, go on ahead.. I'll catch up with the both of you" Natsumi instructed as Nezuko smiled and nodded before heading over towards her brother, leaving her with no one else but Urokodaki to chat with

"Finally, leaving eh?" Urokodaki began, trying to start up a small conversation with the Icy Demoness before she could leave..

"Hmm.. Shouldn't you be glad we're finally leaving?" she retorted, keeping her eyes focused on her juniors as Urokodaki sighed

"Well, I did enjoy having the company.. Yet, I would never had guessed it would be coming from a Demon.." Urokodaki uttered as Natsumi's eyes glanced towards him before letting out a small breath

"Fine.. I guess I did enjoy your company as well, Urokodaki.. I apologize for my unfavorable attitude towards you.." Natsumi apologized as Urokodaki nodded understandingly before starting to apologize for doing acting the same way as she did towards him, as well

"I must admit, you really are a strange demon, Hinokami.." Urokodaki confessed as Natsumi gave a gentle smile upon her lips

"I could say the same thing about you.. You are also strange.." she admitted as she heard the high pitched squawking of Tanjiro's crow over by the distance and sighed

"Well.. Looks like that's our cue.. I'll see you around then, Urokodaki.." Natsumi stated as she was about to take her leave that was until she heard Urokodaki made his parting words towards her

"Take care of Tanjiro.. I understand that you are aware of the consequences if the Demon Slayer Corps finds out about this.." He said, she couldn't help but allow a small smile to grace her lips and nod her head lightly towards him

"Yes, I am aware.. I could only hope that Master Ubuyashiki would accept my offer when the time comes.." she uttered as she went to join the Kamado siblings before heading off to accompany Tanjiro towards his first mission.
