2 years later...

(Yuna's POV)

'It's almost that time'. I recall the memory of that night. The night when everything was taken away from us.

I remember every detail clearly, how the screams of my clan members finally ceased after two hours, how we waited for Fumi-nii to come get us, and how he didn't come by the third hour...

I remember how I had to force myself to go back to the compound, Haru and Kaito behind me; not once did I think to let them go. I needed to find out if everything was finally alright, and why Fumi hadn't come back for us.

I sometimes wished I hadn't, how I wished I didn't go back there, the carnage that greeted us would forever haunt me. Bodies of my clan were strewn everywhere, their blood everywhere, covering every surface.

I remember how badly I cried, to the point my head was pounding for days afterwards. But even through the tears, I pushed on and headed towards our estate. It was too quiet, I hated it.

I remember passing two familiar bodies, those of my elder brother's, both life-less and only metres away from each other. I would never forget how hollow their eyes were, as they stayed open, but I did not dwell, I couldn't bring myself to. I pushed forward, bringing my youngest brothers closer to my body. When we made it to the estate, we went back to where we had left our father fighting that despicable demon.

I remember spotting his body along with those of my mother and sister, a sorrowful picture was laid before me. My father had most probably dragged his body closer to my mothers, though a futile attempt it was, as his outstretched hand never reached hers.

I remember finally crashing down then, how Kaito and then Haru buried their heads into my chest as they clung to me, sobbing. I knew I had to do something, so I forced us all to stand and I began to lead us to the exit of the compound. We headed to the village a good twenty-minute walk away from the compound. It was dawn by the time we arrived, and the friendly villagers recognised us immediately, they swarmed all three of us and I remember recounting the past hours to them through my relentless sobbing.

I remember a large group of the village men escorted us back, and how they immediately began to collect all the bodies and took them to a clearing nearby; how they began to bury them there. We watched as they gently carried out my father, mother, and Ami, and then Fumi-nii and Aki-nii. By then it reached late noon, all of my dead clan members and family were buried, and all that was left was a devastated home.

That concluded the massacre of the Yukimura clan.

Only three remained.
