                                          Hayden POV

Being on severe bed rest, and limited food, and fighting an infection just plane sucks, the plus side of being on constant supervision, is it feels like a different air,

Me and Clint seemed to have gotten closer if that was even possible,

I know I will never admit this to him, but I look at Clint with different eyes, you know from the beginning I just thought he was just like my parents out to hurt me, kick me while I was down, thought it was some kind of ruse,

But in the end he ended up showing me that he was different, they were all different, that they truly wanted to help me,

And Clint I've been looking at him more like a father lately just the look in his eyes says it all, that he truly cares, cares about my wellbeing,

The look in his eyes every time I wake up, it's concern, why does he look at me like that? I thought

I slowly turned my head and seen Bruce looking at the bags,

"This should be your last dose, hopefully it will take care of the infection," He said

"Okay," I said tiredly

"Let me check out your wounds," He said walking to the other side of the bed, he lifted my shirt, he pulled back the gauze looking at the wound touching gently around the area,

"It's looking a lot better," He said

"Well that's some good news," Clint said walking in the room,

"Let me check your shoulder," Bruce said

I nodded,

"I'm gonna have to take your arm out of your shirt, since it's in a awkward place," Bruce said

I nodded,

As soon as he moved my arm, the pain shot down my body, causing me to wince,

"What's wrong? does it hurt? do you need anything?" Clint said in a panic,

"It just hurts a little bit," I said

Bruce removed the gauze, Clint was hovering over his shoulder,

"Is it supposed to look like that?" Clint asked

"Looks like the infection moved to this wound," Bruce said

Bruce put something on a cloth, and dabbed it on the wound causing me to hiss, and wince in pain,

He changed the gauze,

Bruce left,

I felt my face scrunch in frustration because I was tired of being in bed,

"Don't make that face," Clint said chuckling,

"I'm just tired of being in this bed, and sleeping all the time, I've never felt so useless," I mumbled

"Hey don't talk like that, your injured and have an infection in one of your injuries you need to recuperate and heal," Clint said

"I know, I just don't like it," I said

"Maybe before you get too tired, we can talk about what happened," he said crossing his arms

"You mean umm taking off," I said

"yes," He said

"Look I was angry you all kept him escaping prison from me, and I had the right to know," I said

"Yes but that doesn't mean you run off, if you have a problem Hayden I want you to talk to me about it," He said grabbing the hand that didn't have the IV in it,

"I don't want you to feel like you have to run away when your upset about something, I want you to come to me and talk to me about your problem do you understand?" He said

I looked at him, and he had nothing but seriousness in his eyes,

I nodded,

"Yes, I understand, but you shouldn't have kept that from me either, because of that, I felt like I had to prove that I could track him down," i said

"Hayden listen to me on this team you have nothing to prove, you are perfect the way you are," He said

I looked at him stunned,

"So don't think you have to prove yourself because you don't, your an amazing kid, with an even more amazing talent and don't let anyone tell you otherwise," Clint said

"You mean that?" I asked confused

"Every word of it," He said not even hesitating for a second,

I was starting to get sleepy because of the drugs again, man I hated this, I blinked a few times trying to fight it,

"Sleep Chipmunk, I'll be here when you wake up," He said petting my hair gently

my eyelids slowly fluttered shut, letting darkness consume me, and this time I welcomed it,

                                                Laura POV

I watched from the door frame as Clint and Hayden talked she was starting to depend on us, and that's a good thing,

Clint and Me would be the support system she's never had, and I just can't wait until she's better and we can break the news to her, and see if she really wants that, to be a family with us,

I walked over to Clint kissing his forehead, and handed him a cup of tea,

I just hope she gets better soon, I thought
