Ch. 83 "Breakfast"

                                             Hayden POV 

I was running and jumping over logs and fallen trees, my breathing was ragged and uneven sweat was falling from my forehead, 

Branches scraped across my skin as I ran through the forest, 

I was looking over my shoulder as I ran, 

suddenly I bumped into someone, 

I gasped 

"Easy easy it's me," Clint said 

Suddenly a gun shot rang through the air, 

Clint held onto his stomach falling to the ground, 

"No!" I said placing my hands on his stomach as he laid on his back, 

"You think your safe?" Eric and Josie emerge from the shadows 

Eric held a gun in his hand, 

"You think they can protect you? we know people, powerful people, and once were finished your not going to have anyone, and the only person you can blame but yourself," Eric said pointing his gun at me shooting me, 

"No!" I shot up 

I sat up my breathing uneven, sweat falling down my face, 

I got out of bed getting dressed, I walked out of the room to the kitchen, grabbing some water, 

I took a sip my breathing still uneven, 

I heard footsteps, 

I looked to see Wanda, 

"You alright?" She asked 

I nodded fine, 

"If I didn't read minds I know that was a lie," She said 

"What are you doing up this early Wanda?" I asked taking another sip, 

"Your mind screams of pain and suffering," Wanda said 

I didn't answer 

"So you are suffering," Wanda said 

"I'm not suffering, I'm surviving," I said closing my eyes, 

"Is that what you tell yourself when your upset?" Wanda said 

I just rolled my eyes, 

I started to walk away but Wanda stopped me, 

"That might work with the others but not me," She said putting her hand on my shoulder 

"Why must you insist on blocking everyone out," She said 

"Because it's the only way it keeps the others from worrying," I said 

"So you can suffer alone?" I heard a familiar voice 

I scrunched my face, 

"Now Princess why don't we go for a walk," Pietro said 

"Hmm didn't know you walked," I said 

"Very funny now come, we must have a long chat about keeping secrets from your friends," Pietro said slinging his arm over my shoulders, 

"How about over breakfast?" Pietro said 

"Like as casual friends or are you asking me on a breakfast date?" I asked 

He smirked his arm still resting on my shoulders, 

"I'll leave that up to your imagination princess," Pietro said smirking
