How To Save A Life

"Callie, come here."
"What is it Kar- omg."
They were standing right in front of a broken, unconscious Meredith.

"Get a gurney!" Alex yelled into the mic so they would get the signal.

He placed her on the gurney carefully and loaded her in the ambulance.

When they arrived everyone was ready.
"Meredith Grey, 38 year old female. Fracture to the right leg. Broken right tibia. Cracked jaw. Broken wrist. Multiple cuts and bruises. Possible concussion." A paramedic said.

"Get her inside and prep a trauma bay!" Bailey yelled.

Everyone but Derek was in the room.
"We need to get her to the OR."
Meredith grabbed someone's arm. Unaware who's.

She grabbed Richard's arm.
"R-Ra..pe- rape ki- kit."
She said quietly and scratchy.

"What did she say?" Owen asked.
"Rape Kit." Alex replied.
"Ok everyone out." Bailey demanded.
"But-."
"Out!"

"Meredith sweetie, did he rape you?"
"Y-yea."
"Ok. I'm gonna do a rape kit. Alright?"
"O-ok."

Bailey finished the kit and they got Mer to the OR.

Bailey walked out of the OR. Along with Owen.

"We did everything we could. It was too late." Bailey said.

"She had a bleed. And before we could repair it  before we could repair it, she was gone." Owen said sadly.

"Can I see her?"
"Yeah. Of course."

"Derek!" Owen snapped his fingers in front of my face.
"Huh. Yeah. What?"
"She is ok. She is up in the ICU. She is really tired. But she is ok." Bailey said.

"Oh. God. Thank you!" 

"Umm Derek." Owen said.
"Yeah. What. Is something wrong?"
"Her rape test. Came back positive."
"Oh god."

"Just try to calm her down. She might get scared."

"Right. Yea. Ok."

"Mer?"
"Derek."
"It's ok. I'm here."
"It. It. Hurts."
"I know." I said while wrapping my arm around her waist.

"He-he raped me."
"Shhh I know. It's ok your safe."
Meredith jumped up.

"Did they get him?!"
"Yeah. It's alright. Just lay back down."
I lied. He ran off.

"Shhh. Go to sleep."
