Comment:
On the days when we feel our spirits are depleted and exhausted, this is a great verse to have handy. It's a reminder that while we humans have our limits, emotionally and physically, the God we serve is limitless. When we fear Him, when we turn to Him, our confidence is renewed and we have the blessing of God's supernatural strength.
We must see turning to God as a great gift rather than anything else. Without Him, we would still be stuck in the small four-cornered box of sinful bondage. But in Him, we have been freed. He is a refuge and shield to anyone who opens their heart to Him.
