"It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed."
~Deuteronomy 31:8Comment:
Many of us take trusting God for granted. We throw the phrase around as a common encouragement to strengthen others. But I don't think we realize how detrimental and concrete trusting God can be in our lives. While, yes, the phrase can be used to encourage others, we need to start taking this trust more seriously! We need to start taking that saying and turn it into an action! We need to throw our desires over our shoulders and ask God what He plans for us. We need to stop focusing on ourselves and bring our empty selves to God and fill that void with Him.
The phrase "Do not be afraid" is mentioned over and over in the Bible. Why? Because we are fickle beings who tend to forget and are in constant need of reminding. God displays patience with every repetition and and every reminder. He will never forsake or turn His back on those who seek Him.
