Ash was overjoyed meeting Gary and Serena was happy that her boyfriend was better . Ash feared that Sean would be pissed of that he revealed his identity to Gary. He called him and informed him but, to his surprise, Sean just smiled and told him it was okay. He asked Ash to send Gary to his location. After catching up with Ash for some time, Gary bid farewell to the couple and went to the location Sean told him to come to. Soon Ash and Serena left the pokemon centre. They met the ex-Team Rocket trio outside the city. Ash recieved Decidueye from them and asked them to collect whatever information they can get against Team Rocket. He then quickly treated Decidueye and then the couple left for Cyllage City. Ash decided he had to meet up with Goodra and warn him after what he heard yesterday about Greninja.
The couple went towards the wetlands. After skillfully dodging the caretaker and his Bellsprout, the couple made their way to the den where the pseudo legendary lived. The pokemom in the wetlands prepared to attack him but were stopped by Pikachu. Soon Florges and Goodra rushed out of the den. The sight of all the pokemon fainted enraged Florges but Goodra was just standing there. He ran ahead and hugged Ash, surprising Florges who was charging up a moonblast. Goodra then explained it to everyone that it is indeed Ash and Serena, calming them down. Ash explained everything that had happened until now to Goodra. Goodra was beyond pissed off. Ash explained his reasons of coming here and asked Goodra to join him. Goodra however, showed him some eggs. Ash was confused at first but then put 2 and 2 together. He understood these were his and Florges's eggs. Ash was still worried about Goodra's safety. But Goodra assured him saying, "Don't worry Ash. When you will need me, the believed to be weakest dragon type in the world trained by Ash Ketchum will lead the Kalos Frontier. And as for that geek, if he ever steps a foot here, he will only find his tombstone here." This was all Ash needed to know. He apologized to everyone for attacking and bid farewell. Soon they hit the road again.

After some time they were met with an all too familiar pink haired girl along with her Sylveon. She challenged Serena to a battle and said that if she wins Ash would have to come with her. Serena was beyond pissed. Ash only added to it when he purposely flirted a little with the girl, adding fuel to fire. Serena released her Sylveon for battle and finished off the girl;Penelope in 2 moves. Ash was surprised at Serena's strength. He mentally made a note to never ever piss off Serena. He approached Serena but was met with a menacing glare that sent shivers down his spine.
"Sorry Honey, I just wanted to tease you." Ash said nervously. Serena didn't even budge.
"Come on please, I will do anything you say. Please forgive me." Ash said with puppy dog eyes.
"Humph" Serena turned away.
"Sorry for all this. I guess I just ruined your relationship. I just do this to get pokemon trainers to my school so that my students can see new pokemon. I'm really sorry." Penelope apologized.
"Don't you think you should directly ask the people instead of doing all this. It would avoid a lot of trouble for you." Serena said angrily.
"I guess you are right. I'll keep that in mind. Sorry I'll leave now." She said and turned around.
"Wait there we'll come along." Serena replied.
"But I lost?"
"Are you kidding me? Who would miss the chance of seeing children? And besides that, our pokemon would like it too."
"Okay then. Follow me." Serena simply gestured Ash to follow her. Ash was thinking how he could apologize to her. He went in to peck her on the cheek but Serena pushed him aside.
"I said I'm sorry honey. Why are you so pissed?!!!" Ash yelled surprising Serena. She was surprised and tears started forming in her eyes. Ash quickly realised his mistake. Serena was about to run away into the woods when Ash caught her and hugged her tight.
"Leave me Greg. You don't want me right? I'm going." Serena said trying to break free by pounding on Ash's chest.
"I'm sorry Alice. Please don't leave me. I will die if you do, so please I beg you. I will do anything you say but just don't leave me." Ash begged.
"Then why did you do it?"
"I read online yesterday that if you make your girlfriend jealous, she will love you more. After your be selfish speech, I became very selfish and I didn't want you to love me less. I am really sorry. I know you love me more than anything but I have been doubting myself the past few days. When Gary did that yesterday, I felt very angry. I know it was nothing wrong, people greet that way but I don't want you to leave me, I can't lose you. Please sorry." Ash begged and fell on his knees. Serena understood that Ash has been through a lot. Such mood swings might be possible and the fact that he wanted her to stay with him eased it. She knew Ash, it was just Ash's way of being protective. Weird you may think, well what about her boyfriend was normal. He ate a ton of food and still had abs, he used Pikachu's thunderbolt as his alarm clock, he literally met all the legendaries and mythicals and he could even become one with a pokemon. What more was left?
"Ash look at me." Serena said kneeling down. Ash turned his gaze slowly towards her. "Look into my eyes." Serena said in a sweet angelic soothing voice. Ash instantly got lost in an unending abyss of blue. Even the ocean couldn't replace it. He felt only one thing, Love.
"What do you see?"
"Love. Never ending love."
"So next time if any such thoughts come into your mind, remember this. Ash I love you and I will never leave you." Serena said firmly. The confidence in her voice was on a whole different level. Ash kissed her passionately and said.
"I love you and promise to never leave you too." Ash replied. Penelope had given the couple some privacy since she was the one that messed up things according to her. Soon, the couple caught up holding hands. Penelope was glad that everything was sorted. Soon, Ash saw that Serena's bag was glowing. "Honey your bag is glowing. The egg might be hatching." Ash said getting Serena's attention.
"Yes Greg you are right."
"Wow. A pokemon egg. Can the children see it too please?" Penelope asked.
"Sure. But please make sure the newborn sees Alice first."
"Right."
