Chapter 22:- Evolution

Hello friends, before we start I wanted you all to know that after this chapter, I will be keeping this book on Hiatus for about 10 days. Dont worry, I won't be leaving it. I have exams starting tomorrow and gotta study. Plus this chapter is a bit deep philosophically😅. So with that out of the way, let's get started.

It's been one month since the events at the school. Ash and Serena have been training really hard and battled at the Cyllage city Gym. Serena won the badge using her Milotic and Pancham, which her mother had recieved from Prof Sycamore after her assumed death. Pancham was surprised but Serena explained everything to him. Ash meanwhile won the Elite Cliff Badge using his Blastoise against Grant's Mega Steelix. Since he had seen one battle he had experience with this particular mega evolution(Alola school trip: Brock). Now Ash had mega evolution energies from four types; Bug, Poison, Steel and Ground. Serena also took part in a showcase and easily won it. It was on a smaller scale compared to the others so there weren't many known participants. Jessie of Team Rocket was there but Serena beat her in the finals. She had been very nervous but Ash's encouragement had helped her over the line. Vulpix was also training very hard under Serena's tutelage. She was very timid at first but as time went by and with the help of her father, she warmed up quite a bit. It turns out that she is a shiny one and quite a battler. Also its grace and calm look helps in performances and Sylveon helps her with dancing a bit. Serena is already considering evolving it, of course with its permission, but will have to wait until Snowbelle City to get an ice stone. Both of their pokemon got a great amount of training in the Battle Cheateu. Ash's Meatng evolved into a Metagross, adding a new pseudo legendary to his team. Serena also added a new pokemon to her team in the form of a Phantump. He was a funny little guy that lived to play pranks. He quickly became Hoopa's friend.

Gary meanwhile met up with Sean and Leaf. Sean didn't disclose much of the details to him but was surprised when he found legendary energy within him. He then explained to Gary what legendary energy was and so on. Gary then told him that he had encountered the Lake Trio while with Ash in Sinnoh, leading to the cause of the existence of legendary energy within him. Sean hadn't told Ash but they were short on legendary energy supply. He needed just a bit more to ensure completion, some of which he got from Gary. Now Sean got busy putting up a team to protect the regions while Leaf and Gary were working on the machines to counter Giovanni. Sean had also given Ash and his Lucario aura training lessons and Ash had progressed a lot, surprising Sean. Ash now knew to read people's auras and to communicate with Pokemon. Serena was also given some training but she was behind Ash. She knew to sense people's auras and a little bit of Aura healing.

Now Ash and Serena had to go to Shalour City for their 3rd Gym Battle and for Serena's next showcase, which is gonna be a big one. But before that Sean had called them to New Island 🏝. All of them trained there so it was not a big deal for them. Hoopa would always help the gang with his mischief as a tagalong.

"Hey Ash and Serena." The trio of Sean, Leaf and Gary called out. Diantha wasn't invited as Sean told them that she had some 'important' champion business.
"Hey Guys." Ash and Serena replied and they all hugged.

"So how are you guys doing?"
"We are great. We got two badges and four types have been covered. Serena also has a Princess Key." Ash replied.
"Thats wonderful."
"So what do you want to discuss?" Serena asked.

"Ash if you don't mind me asking why haven't you evolved your Bulbasaur and Snivy?" Sean asked out of the blue, looking at all of Ash's pokemon playing and training. Ash was surprised but replied that he didn't want to go against their will.

"Is it okay if I talk to them later?" He asked and Ash nodded. He thought why Sean didn't ask about Pikachu but knew he had his reasons.

"So let's get back to point. And before I forget Serena here is a gift for you from your to be sister-in-law." Leaf said leaving Serena blushing. She opened the box to find none other than a mega stone.
