It felt like we were driving forever. Then we finally arrived.

"Alright, close your eyes"

"What? Why?"

"The surprise. Don't move. I'm gonna help you out the car"

"Okay"

A few seconds later, he opened my door and helped me out.

I was anxious now.

"Huey?"

He put his hand on my hip while the other was in my hand.

"Don't worry. I got you. Keep walking"

I let out a breath of relief and kept going.

"Step up right here"

I did as he said and avoided falling, thank god.💀

"Hold on. I gotta open the door. Alright come on"

I sighed a breath of annoyance now.

"Are we almost there?"

"Just a few more steps. Stop. Turn to your left"

I did as he said.

"On the count of 3 open your eyes. 1... 2.... 3"

I opened my eyes and saw.... A PUPPY!!!

I squealed of pure happiness and did my lil dancey dance.

"Huey you're getting me a puppy!!??"

"I'm not getting you one. You have one. He's yours"

I gasped.

"Really?!"

I gave the biggest smile and hugged him and without hesitation this time, he hugged me back. I broke the hug and have him a quick peck on the lips.

"So what's his name?"

"That's for you to choose"

I looked back at my puppy and crossed my arms. What should I name him?

I looked at the features on him closely. Then I got one.

"I got it"

"What?"

"Astro. I like that name"

"Astro huh? It sounds good to me"

I smiled.

"Ready to take him home?"

"R-Right now? Don't we have to fill in some paperwork or something?"

"Nope. I took care of that this morning. All we gotta do, is retrieve his stuff that he needs from the front"

I turned back to Astro and did my little cute voice.

"You hear that, boy? You're going home with me"

I opened his cage and gently grabbed him and held him.

"He's so soft and cute"

I think a little tear slipped from my cheek.

"Heh. Come on, let's go get his stuff"

I followed behind him.

"Hello. How may I help you?"

I let Huey do the talking.

"We're here to retrieve some important stuff for our new puppy"

"Ah yes. Wait just a second dear"
