Pairing: Bucky Barnes (turning into Winter Soldier) x Reader
Warnings: Choking, angst, sad Bucky:( , But helpful reader!
Prompt: reader can snap him out of his 'winter solider mode' so have him get set off in a way and the have to call her in or something to bring him back.

Bucky woke you up with soft kisses to your face. Each kiss he pressed was softer each time. Soft, but still there. You opened your eyes but saw that Bucky had been crying. His eyes were red, and his cheeks looked tear streaked. "Buck what's wrong?" You ask sitting up and facing him. He didn't say anything. He gently caressed your neck, and you knew what he was looking at. You grasped his wrist and whispered "It wasn't you. It was HYDRA. Please don't let them win Bucky." He had a sad look in his eye. You could tell he was hurting and that he felt terrible inside.
You got off the bed and walked to the bathroom. At first you didn't want to see your neck. But you knew what had to be done. A black, purple, green, and yellow hand shaped ring made its appearance around your neck. You sighed and closed your eyes. Breathing in and out deeply was calming but so was the presence behind you. You opened your eyes to see Bucky. He wrapped his arms around your waist and nuzzled his face into your bruised neck.
"Bucky, please don't beat yourself up about it. Just think! We can tell Steve, and he will let you back on Hydra missions. I would if I was the captain, but I'm just a little, tiny part of the team. But I know that you are made for great things. And you will do those great things with a happy heart." You turned around in his arms and snaked your arms around his neck. "Dove, you have the purest heart. You should be hating me right now. Never in a million years would I love somebody who choked me. Who almost killed me." You softly smiled as you later your head on his chest. "That's what you aren't understanding Buck. I would get rid of the Winter Soldier. Not Bucky Barnes. Bucky Barnes is here to stay. Now let's go tell Steve about our amazing discovery, and lets actually add some pancakes in there if that's ok!"
He chucked and kissed your forehead before letting you lead him into the kitchen. It was actually quite funny, seeing yourself against the super soldier body of Bucky. It wasn't something you saw everyday. But you were great full it was you instead of anyone else. When you sat down next to Bucky at the table, Steve popped in and sat down as well. It just sort of slipped out at this point. "I know how to get rid of the Winter Soldier." You said in a small voice, mouth filled with pancakes.
Steve stopped sipping his coffee, and set it down. "I'm listing." Bucky finished explained what happened, and you pulled down your turtle neck sweater to show him the bruises. Bucky looked down, trying to not look at what he did to you. When you noticed it, you quickly put your hands in his and told him it would be ok. Because it will be!
You followed Steve and Bucky to the lab, and saw a comfortable chair sitting in the middle. You latched on to Buckys arm, and said "Everything is going to be ok. You're safe Bucky." He looked scared but he knew what had to be done. As he sat in the chair, he didn't let go of your hand. Tony placed the wires on Buckys head as you laid down on his chest humming a sweet melody. It comforted him greatly. He ran his fingers through your hair as he was being set up to get rid of the Winter Soldier for good.
"There is only small hints of electricity coming out of these. Nothing will hurt you ok Bucky? I just need Y/n to come sing into this microphone. You will be safe Buck. I promise." Buck looked down to you and you smiled reassuring him that he was safe. You let go of his hand, and sat down next to Tony in front of a small microphone. He turned on the low electrical pulses to Bucks brain, and you began to sing.
"Why are there so many Songs about rainbows? And what's on the other side? Rainbows have visions, But only illusions, Rainbows have nothing to hide. Some day we'll find it The rainbow connection The lovers, the dreamers and me."
Your eyes never left Buckys. And you could see a change in his demeanor. You knew the winter Soldier was gone for good. Sadly, Tony had to try they words. So you held on to Bucky for dear life while he read. You looked up into his eyes, and nothing had changed. Nothing had gone darker, nothing had gone bad. After all of the words were said, you shook Bucky.
"Are you alright Bucky?"
He laid his head back on the head rest and said "You guys did it. You made the Winter Soldier go away!" Tony, Sam, and Steve walked out of the lab and left Bucky and You in peace. "I'm so happy that worked Bucky." He kissed your forehead and said "Me too little one. Me too. Now how about some poker and ice cream?" You smirked and said "You up for losing Bucky Barnes?" He smiled and said "I'll only let you win if you buy the ice cream!" You giggled and rubbed your nose against his. He closed the gap between the two of you, and pressed his lips to yours softly. A kiss of a fully renewed James Buchanan Barnes.
