°movie night°

Irene's POV:

"Guys it's movie night!", Joy yelled in the car and lifted her arms. Yeri cheered with her, but Irene just groaned, not feeling like she wanted to watch that damn movie.

They quickly arrived at the dorm and left their jackets in the entrance. She immediately rushed to the kitchen to avoid the others as long as she could and drank a cup of milk to get her nerves clear. It was an exhausting day. But she couldn't say no to the maknaes. It wouldn't be fair.

"Witch movie did you choose?", she heard Wendy asking in the living room.

"You'll see", Yeri giggled and left the room. Irene took the cereal package and ate some cornflakes out of it without using a bowl. She was really overtaxed right now. Hopefully the maknaes wouldn't notice her since she always banned them to do this.

"Irene unnie, Seulgi unnie come!"

She stepped out of the kitchen and was about to take a seat when Seulgi stepped in too. Their gazes met.

"Uhm- uh I don't have- uhm time now", Seulgi mumbled and dropped her gaze to the floor. Irene's heart tightened.

"Yah! Seulgi you stay with us now!", Yeri ordered with a harsh voice and pulled the girl next to her. Onto the couch for three. And neither Wendy nor Joy were about to offer their seat for Irene. So basically she had to sit next to Seulgi.

In the past, this was normal for them. They always sat like that. Joy had the big armchair on the left, Wendy the right. Yeri always sat on the edge of the couch since it was the highest spot in the living room where somebody could sit. And she felt dominating in this position... for whatever reason...

Yeah, and Seulgi and Irene always placed themselves on the other side. Together. She in her girlfriend's arms. Not today.

"Okay here is the popcorn!", Yeri said and placed the big blue bowl in the middle of the table. She pressed one button on the remote control and the display lightened up with the title of the movie.

Friends with... benefits?

"I am going to kill you two!", Wendy yelled and chased after Yeri who jumped off the couch.

In the end, they chose another movie. This time it was a romantic one called 'Midnight sun'. She felt very uncomfortable durning the first minutes. This all wasn't right at all. She was do desperate and just wanted to intwin her hand with Seulgi's and cuddle with her. But the girl seemed to be so stiff and forced that she could not even take a glance on her.

"Wow that's interesting... I have never heard that some people can't be outside while the sun is shining."

"You always pay attention on the most unnecessary details unnie...", Yeri groaned and rolled her eyes.

"This is the key part of the plot... But okay, I shut up now."

"Better because now they are about to kiss!", Joy informed them and pointed at the TV. The two protagonists where facing each other.

She risked a short glance to her right side and saw Seulgi's side profile. She noticed that her eyes were teary as a small drop of water ran down her cheek. Irene breathed out heavily. She couldn't do that to herself. She couldn't do that to Seulgi!

As lowkey as she could, she lifted her right hand and placed it on Seulgi's thigh, causing a silent gasp of the latter.

She closed her eyes for a moment and waited. But now the actor and the actress moved closer to each other, their lips inches apart. A sob appeared next to her as the couple kissed. They all turned their heads to Seulgi, Irene had already removed her hands of Seulgi's body.

Then, within a second, Seulgi stood up and rushed out of the room, filling it with more and more sobs. Her door closed.

Her heart was still beating fast. She closed her eyes for a moment and bit her own lip. Don't cry, don't cry, she instructed her brain.

But she lost her. Seulgi couldn't handle this, and so she couldn't.

Her breath became uncontrolled as the tears ran down her cheeks, now the air filled with her sobbing. She had never cried that often in a week. Not even in a year.

Yeri crawled to her, like Joy and Wendy and hugged her. She felt so empty. Empty because of this shit she was in.

Entertainmet. Idols. Kpop. This was no longer a source of happiness for her.
