Alex's face shined with a smile as he jumped up and down outside of Reagan's car. She simply watched as she waited for him to unlock the car. "Are you gonna unlock the car and tell me why you're jumping like someone who just won't the lottery?"

The boy immediately stopped jumping and started to search his pockets before revealing the key in his hand, he quickly unlocked the door and his smile still evident on his face. Reagan took notice as she jumped into the passenger seat, awaiting the boy to burst with excitement.

He started the car before looking over at her, she looked back, maintaining eye contact. "Are you good around new people?" he simply asked, plugging his phone into the aux. "I mean sometimes matters who I guess," she replied despite her confusion.

"Okay what if the person was Karl?" he questioned. Her eyes widened, and her jaw dropped. "Wait what?" she said almost out of confusion. "Karl, hes uh.. in california and he's gonna meet us at the pier. Is that okay?" he looked down at his phone before quickly looking up to see her face gleam in excitement.

"It's completely fine with me."

Arriving at the Santa Monica pier, she simply looked around in awe. Even on a sunday the place was completely packed, the rides were lite up, and the stores were filled. "Have you ever been here?" Alex asked with a small nudge. "Once, it was awhile ago though," she replied still staring ahead in amazement.
