Chapter 13: Queen

"Be honest with me now! Is there anything you wanted to tell me?!" May halong pagkainis at pag-aalala na sabi niya.

Sigh. Mukhang kailangan ko na talagang sabihin.

"Uhm-- Ano kasi Chris. Kasam---" 

"Avie? Chris? What are you doing here?" tanong ni Loise na biglang sumulpot. "And, why is the whole dark devils here?"

Sheesh! Bakit ngayon ka pa sumulpot?! Hindi ko tuloy masabi!

"How about you? What are you doing in such place?" Chris coldly asked her. "Don't you have any idea how dangerous this place is?! Amethyst! This place is a place for gangsters!"

"S-sorry. I have no idea that this is a place for gangsters. Kapag pumupunta ako dito, wala namang tao eh. There are stray cats over there and I'm looking after them" Amethyst said. "Pero bakit ako lang pinapagalitan mo? Eh si Avie? Ano bang ginagawa niya dito?"

"I was following you" sabi ko. 

Nagulat naman siya dahil doon, so I explained my self. "I was following you dahil nacurious ako kung saan ka pupunta. I just saw you walked out the school so sinundan kita" pagdadahilan ko.

Napapikit naman ng mariin si Chris at napahilot pa siya sa kanyang sentido. "What would you do if I haven't gotten here? What would happen to the both of you kung hindi ako dumating?!" Inis na sigaw ni Chris. 

Pareho naman kaming napayuko ni Loise.

Kyaahh! Sorry na! Sorry na talaga! Natatakot na ko eh!

Mas grabe pa siyang magalit kesa sa kapatid ko! Huhu.

Chris held my chin and chineck niya kung may sugat ba ako o ano. "Tch! Mapula ang parteng pisngi mo and look! Nasugat pa yang labi mo! Damn that bastard!"

"S-sorry" nakayukong sabi ko.

"Sorry. Kung hindi ako pumunta dito, hindi rin ako susundan ni Avie and none of this would've happened" pagpapaumanhin ni Amethyst.

"Tch! Let's go back to the campus" maotoridad na sabi ni Chris.

Hinawakan niya ako sa may pulso ko at hinila na papaalis sa lugar na iyon. "A-aray Chris!" daing ko nang mahigpit ang kanyang pagkakahila sa akin.

Nang makarating na kami sa campus ay binitawan naman na niya ako at ako naman ay hinawakan ko ang namumula kong kamay.

"S-sorry" paumanhin ni Chris at saka niyakap niya pa ako ng mahigpit. "I was just worried" he said as he hugged me tight. "Is there something you wanted to tell me?" he asked.

Magsasalita na sana ako nang sumulpot na naman ng biglaan si Loise. "Eyy! Let's get back to work!" nakangiting sabi ni Loise.

Tumango naman ako sa kanya. "I'll go to the building I was assigned to" I said.

Loise just smiled on me and nodded. Then lumapit siya kay Chris at niyakap niya ito sa braso. "Let's go Chris!" she said, smiling at hinila niya na nga si Chris papalayo dito.

'Hmm... Loise, I think you're too close with Chris'

Gabi na at wala ako sa dorm dahil may misyon kami ngayon.

Erick told me that an organization was the one responsible for the kidnapping of our parents. 

We still got no idea about what was the organizations name, nor what's its purpose.

Pero itong misyon namin ngayon ay related sa organization na yun.

Erick found 4 people who he thinks that is part of that organization. At kaming officials, ang inutusan ni Erick na humuli sa apat na iyon.

I'm here on a dark place and just waiting for the target.

I smirked when I saw him.

I prepared my stun gun wrist watch, which was invented by Ivan and first made sure that he was alone.

When he was really alone, I aimed the stun gun on his neck and shot him.

It's just a stun gun so he'll just fall asleep.

He was actually laying on the ground already. 

"My target is already asleep. Ceres, Eros, Pallas, kayo na ang bahala sa tinarget ko" I said through the earpiece. 

Yep! Those are the names of asteroids so that means, inutusan ko silang mga pawn na kunin ang lalaking tinarget ko at dalhin na sa Dos Luna's hideout.

["Yes. queen"] they answered in unison.

Umalis na ako sa lugar na yon at dumiretso na sa hideout.

Dumiretso naman ako sa lugar kung saan, kaming mga officials ay magtitipon tipon kasama ang king.

"That was fast" bulong ni Ivan.

"I know right" sabi ko naman.

Lumapit naman sa amin si Erick. "Good job. Avie, let me ask you" tumingin sa akin ng diretso si Erick. "Nasabi mo na ba ang tungkol dito kay Chris at sa mga kapatid mo?" he seriously asked.

"Not yet" 

Napabuntong hininga naman siya.

"I'm not sure if this is true but your friends, Ian and Akhaya, probably has an idea about this organization ad about you being part of this org" 

Nanlaki naman ang aking mga mata dahil sa gulat. "H-How would they---" Erick cut me off.

"They are you friends, and don't forget that they are a great detective like you and Chris"

Napatingin naman kami ni Erick kay Ivan nang magsalita siya. "I'm sure Chris knows about this already. He looks like he's suspecting me and almost like telling me to protect you"

"Eh? Kinausap ka niya about jan?" I asked.

Umiling naman siya. "No. But his eyes are telling me. But I'm not yet sure about that"

"Sigh. You must tell them soon Avie" Erick said. "Enough with the chitchats. Come with me Avie, and I'll introduce you to the pawns who are gathered here" he said kaya naman sumunod ako sa kanya.

Binigay naman niya sa akin ang isang maskara kaya't sinuot ko iyon.

"Pawns, welcome our newest member, and one of the officials... Our queen" 

Lahat naman ay nagsipalakpakan at nagbow pa sa akin.

"Our queen, the highest position, you can entrust us with your orders" sabay sabay na sabi pa nila.

Wow lang ha! Ang dami kaya nila tapos nagawa nilang magsabay sabay na magsalita? Impressive!

Lumapit naman sa akin si Erick at bumulong. "You can give them your first order. Choose a name and they'll come in front"

Napaisip naman ako. Kapag nagtawag ako ng pangalan, ano naman kaya ang iuutos ko? 

Hmmm...

Ah! Alam ko na!

"Sylvia, Psyche, and Cybele" 

Katulad nga ng sinabi ni Erick, ay lumapit sa unahan ang tatlong tinawag ko. 

Muli silang nagbow sa akin. "Here we are my queen" they said in unison.

Tumayo naman na sila ng maayos at hindi sila tumitingin sa aking mata. 

Well, Erick said that pawns are not allowed to look straight into the officials' eyes.

"Not every time I'll be near this girl. So I want you three, to guard and protect her from enemies" I said at ibinigay sa kanila ang envelope na may laman ng picture ni Loise at ng iba pang info about sa kanya.

Nang makita na nila ito ay nagsalita na sila. "Yes, my queen"

Muling bumulong naman sa akin si Erick.

"The queen will protect the king, but you must also protect yourself. And the pawns shall protect you"
