Chapter Thirteen: Space?

Y/N's Pov
"Y/N?" Jess whispered.
"Yes?" I asked.
"I..um.. do you want me to take you home?" Jess asked.
"Sure," I nodded.
He licked his lips and wrapped his arm around my waist. I rested my head on his shoulder as he walked me home. It wasn't a super long walk, I just enjoyed Jess's company. I was excited to be back at Stars Hollow High also.
When we got to my house we went to my porch. He intertwined our fingers together and kissed me slowly. I kissed back, and we slowly pulled away.
"Stay Gold Ponyboy.." I whispered.
"Goodnight Cherry.." He whispered back to me.
He kissed my forehead and we slowly let each other go. I smiled and he walked away. I walked inside and saw that mom and Rory were already asleep. I washed my face, and brushed my teeth. I brushed out my hair and changed into some comfier clothes. I climbed into bed.
The next morning I woke up to Rory shaking me. I groaned and sat up.
"What..?" I asked rubbing my eyes.
"I have to tell you something before you get called out," Rory said.
I sat up more, running my fingers though my hair.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Tristan told everyone you slept with him," Rory said.
"I did not!" I defended.
"I know, I know. But Tristan is just jealous," Rory told me
"What am I supposed to do? Jess will be upset," I asked Rory.
"I don't know, just tell him before it gets out," Rory said nodding.
"Okay," I nodded back to her.
I got ready quickly and left to go to Luke's. I saw Jess there, working. I walked over and sat at the counter.
"Hey," I said.
"Hey," He said pouring me coffee.
"I need to tell you something," I said.
He looked up at me allowing me to continue.
"Um.. can we go upstairs..?" I asked.
He nodded, and he went upstairs. Jess closed the door
"Tristan told everyone that I slept with him," I said.
"What?!" His eyes widened.

(Me every time I think about my cringe third grade self)

"I'm sorry.. I just thought you should know before everyone did," I said.
He nodded.
"I didn't sleep with him," I said sitting next to him on his bed.
"You were with him for two years," Jess said.
"I don't believe this," I scoffed.
"What's not to believe?" He asked standing up.
I stood up grabbing his arm.
"Hey. I did not cheat on you," I told him.
He refused to make eye contact with me. I rested my hand on the side of his face and kissed him.
"I didn't cheat on you," I told him.
"It's over between me and Tristan," I told Jess.
"Okay," He nodded.
"I promise," I defended.
I kissed his cheek.
"You told me that you didn't love Tristan, was that true?" He asked.
"You remember that?" I asked sweetly.
"Of course I do," He said.
"I didn't love him.. I thought I did.. but I didn't," I said.
He nodded.
"I'm sorry," I said.
"Don't be sorry," He said kissing my forehead.
I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck hugging him. I slowly pulled away and looked into his eyes. He kissed me, and I kissed back. We started making out, and Jess picked me up and laid me down on his bed. I started unbuttoning his shirt, and brushed it off of him. He pulled away and pulled off his long sleeve, while I took off my shirt. We smiled at each other and he kissed my neck. His hands traced slowly up and down my body, while my hands traced down his muscular arms, and toned chest and stomach. He kissed my jawline, and sucked on my neck. He went back up and kissed my lips. Before we could go any farther we heard the door bust open. We looked up and saw Luke.
"Oh my god!" Luke said turning around.
"L- Luke," I stuttered.
We put our shirts on.
"It's okay Luke," I said.
Luke turned around.
"Well I'm gonna go home," I said and kissed Jess cheek.
"Hey, Luke? Can we just keep this incident between us?" I asked.
"Yeah, yeah, sure," Luke said.
"Thank you!" I said before running out.
Jess's Pov
I put on my buttoned up shirt, and turned to see a pissed off Luke.
"Yes?" I asked.
"You will not touch her," Luke warned.
"So what?" I asked.
"She's-" Luke started but I cut him off.
"A virgin, yeah, I know," I said and rolled my eyes.
"Great, surprising, you don't give a damn," Luke said.
"I didn't say that," I defended.
"You should care about her feelings! Maybe she's not ready!" Luke yelled.
"I do give a damn about her feelings! I care about her! I don't care about anything in this miserable world besides her!!" I yelled.
Luke didn't say anything, he just looked shocked. I grabbed my jacket and walked out of the apartment, along with the diner. I was walking and I saw Y/N with Tristan. I just stood there staring at them. She told me there was nothing between them, she lied to me. I saw Y/N glance my direction, and look at me.
"Jess!" She yelled.
I shook my head and turned and started walking away.
"Jess! Hey!" She yelled.
"What?! You told me there was nothing!" I yelled.
"There is nothing," She said.
"Then why were you talking to him?" I asked.
"He came here and said that we needed to talk," She said.
"And nothing happened, he told me that he has a new girlfriend now," Y/N told me.
"That's fucking bullshit Y/N," I said then walking away.
"Jess.." I heard her whisper.
I felt her gently grab my hand, but I pulled my hand away.
"I need space, okay?" I said.
"Your breaking up with me?" She asked.
"For now," I said.
She started crying, and she ran away. I felt bad, but I didn't go after her. I walked up to Tristan and punched him with every angry cell in my body.
"You ruined everything! You ruined my relationship!" I yelled and walked away.
I went to the bridge and held a cigarette in my mouth. I took out my lighter and tried to light it, but it didn't work.
"Damn it," I muttered.
I threw the lighter in the lake.
Y/N's Pov
I was laying on the couch in moms lap crying my eyes out.
"What did I do wrong?" I asked.
"No, no, you did nothing wrong," Mom said pushing the hair out of my face.
"Nothing happened between me and Tristan, it's over. Jess.." I cried.
I heard the door open.
"Aww what happened?" Rory asked rushing over to my side.
"Jess broke her heart," Mom said.
"What? I thought everything was okay?" Rory asked.
I shook my head.
"He thinks that something happened with me and Tristan, he said that he needs space," I cried.
Lorelai's Pov
Y/N fell asleep with tear stained cheeks. Rory brought her to their room and I cleaned up all of the tissues that were on the ground. I sat down and turned on the Tv.

It was like 9 o'clock, and I heard a knock on the door. I went and answered the door. You've got to be kidding me.
"What?" I snapped.
"Is Y/N here?" Jess asked.
"Your not really asking for Y/N," I laughed.
"Yeah, I really am. I just wanted to make sure she's okay," Jess said.
"She's not okay, you hurt her Jess," I told him.
"I was upset," He said.
"Can I just see her?" Jess asked.
"No you can't see her," I said slamming the door.
"Lorelai!" I heard Jess yell, but ignored it.
I went back to the couch and turned back on the Tv
